Flower Crochet Coaster

Crochet coasters are quick and easy to make. They are great with using any kind of yarn. These are also easy enough for a beginner.Small and easy to complete.

They also make great gifts for friends, family and colleagues be it any occasion.
Here, I am sharing a very simple flower coaster.

Make these pretty coasters in any selection of colors and enjoy using them for serving your cup!!!!!

Materials Used:-
  • 8 ply Acrylic Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook

Start with a magic circle.

Make 12 Double crochet in the circle.

Pull the short yarn end to close the circle and form a ring.Slip stitch to the first Double crochet.
This coaster requires working in a circle.
I have shared a tutorial on making a seamless crochet circle.
You can check it out here

For the next round work 2 DC in each stitch.
Slip stitch to join.At end of this row you will have 24 stitches.
Next, work 1DC, 2DC in all the stitches around.

You will have 36 stitches at end of this round.

For next round , work  1DC, 1DC, 2DC all round.

You will have 48 stitches at the finish.

For the flower pattern, we will be making a shell stitch all around the coaster.
Start with Chain one and make a single crochet in the same stitch.
Skip One stitch and make 5 Double Crochet in the next stitch.
Skip the next stitch and make one single crochet in the next.

Repeat this pattern all around.

  2. Thank you for this pattern it was fun and easy to make and very pretty. I was wondering if there was a way to make it bigger into a doily or hot plate holder. I'm not sure how to increase the size without messing up the pattern. Thank You so much
