Button Flower

Crochet with Buttons???....Ohh I love the idea of making Crochet flowers using buttons. This Crochet Button Flower project is very easy and a fun project for even Beginners.

By using buttons as center and hooking yarn through the button holes you can create these cute flowers. These Cute flowers can be used as appliques for your crochet projects or on a brooch or a pin and you can also use them for scrapbook projects.....wall arts and cards!!!

Materials Used:-
  • Buttons
  • Yarn
  • Crochet Hook

Choose a Yarn which would be easy enough to loop through the button holes.
I've used 4 ply yarn.

And of course you will have to use a Crochet hook which is thin enough to go through the button holes.

I've used steel hook.

Alternatively , you can also use 2 hook sizes..... smaller hook size for pulling the yarn through the button hole and the bigger hook size for making the flower petals.

You can get your materials online here:-

Start by pulling the yarn through the Button Hole.

Pull the working yarn through the loop.

Chain 5.

Insert the hook in the next button hole and pull up a loop.

Chain 5.

Repeat until you have 5 chain spaces.

This means you will have to work twice in the last button hole.

Once you are done with 5 chain spaces, slip stitch into the first loop.

Let's make the petals.

2 Double Crochets, 1 Treble Crochet, 2 Double Crochet,Slip Stitch(all in the chain 5 space)

Repeat *(Sl,2Dc ,1 Trbl, 2Dc,Sl)* in all the remaining chain 5 spaces.

Weave in the loose ends.

There you go!!! ...... Make them in Variety of Bright Colors and they are ready to be used!!!!
