Five Petal Flower

Flowers are beautiful. Nothing says spring like a bunch of freshly bloomed flowers.Flowers are fun crochet projects at any time of year and they are definitely hot on the hooks each spring.

Crocheted flowers are always so pretty! They are great fun to do by themselves but they are also great to add as an applique or embellishment to all your crochet projects. They may look simple but they can jazz up any of your crochet project!!Flowers are one of the nicest and easiest way to add the perfect finishing touch.

They are also great to use up your scrap yarn or try out new yarns.I have a whole bunch of scrap yarn stored and I have been looking out to whip up some small crochet projects. So, I thought Flowers would be great to use up my scrap yarn lot.In my upcoming posts I will be sharing some simple Flower Patterns. Here is the first lot of my Flower Pattern.I really hope you find it useful for your projects and would enjoy making them.

Materials Used:-

This flower is very easy to make. I used 8 ply yarn and a 4mm hook but of course you can use any yarn of your choice and hook size appropriate to the yarn.

Here is the Video Tutorial :-

Start with a slip knot.

Chain 5.

Slip Stitch to first chain to make a ring.

Chain 1.
(This stitch is to just bring the yarn to height of the next stitch.)

Make 10 Single Crochet in the ring.
Slip Stitch to join.

Chain 4.

1 Treble Crochet in the same stitch.

How to make a Treble Crochet??...here it is.....!!

  1. Yarn over hook twice, insert hook in the Stitch and Pull up a loop.(4 loops on hook).
  2. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops remain on hook).
  3. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops remain on hook).
  4. Yarn over, pull 2 loops on hook (1 treble crochet complete).
