Here is the pattern for a very simple and easy Crochet Mini Santa Hat Ornament. This adorable mini Santa hat ornament works up very quickly. You can easily whip up a couple of them in no time at all. With the same pattern you can make one in a larger size too. The hat is finished with a cute mini pom pom.
The pattern is simple made with only Single Crochets. You can use them as ornaments for you Christmas tree and they also be used as gift card holders, string them into garland or simply use them as gift toppers. Let's Start:-
Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 1.(Not Counted as a stitch)
4 Single Crochets in the Magic Circle.
Do not slip stitch , we will be working in continuous rounds.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
4 Stitches.
Use a stitch marker to keep a track of the stitches.
1 Single Crochet in each of the stitches.
4 Stitches.
Round 3:-
2 Single Crochets in the first Stitch.(that's 1 increase made)
1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(2SC,1SC)
6 Stitches.
Round 4:-
2 Single Crochets in the first Stitch.(that's 1 increase made)
1 Single Crochet each in the next 2 stitches.
Repeat(2SC,1SC*2)
8 Stitches.
Round 5:-
2 Single Crochets in the first Stitch.(that's 1 increase made)
1 Single Crochet each in the next 3 stitches.
Repeat(2SC,1SC*3)
10 Stitches.
Round 6:-
2 Single Crochets in the first Stitch.(that's 1 increase made)
1 Single Crochet each in the next 4 stitches.
Repeat(2SC,1SC*4)
12 Stitches.
Round 7:-
2 Single Crochets in the first Stitch.(that's 1 increase made)
1 Single Crochet each in the next 5 stitches.
Repeat(2SC,1SC*5)
14 Stitches.
Round 8:-
2 Single Crochets in the first Stitch.(that's 1 increase made)
1 Single Crochet each in the next 6 stitches.

1 Single Crochet each in the next 9 stitches.

Round 12:-
2 Single Crochets in the first Stitch.(that's 1 increase made)
1 Single Crochet each in the next 10 stitches.

24 Stitches.
If you wish to make a larger size hat, then continue with the increase pattern untill the size needed.
Here is the Increase Pattern........!!
Round 13 - (2SC,1SC*11)- 26 Stitches.
Round 14 - (2SC,1SC*12)- 28 Stitches.
Round 15 - (2SC,1SC*13)- 30 Stitches.... and so on..!!!
Round 13:-
Slip Stitch into the marked stitch, i.e. the first stitch.
While making the slip stitch change to white color yarn.
Chain 1.
1 Single Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Single Crochet in each of the remaining stitches.
Slip Stitch into the first Single Crochet and weave off.
Pom Pom:-
Start by holding the end of the yarn on to your two fingers.
With your other hand, wrap the yarn around your fingers couple of times.
The more times you wrap, the denser the pom pom will be.
Slip it off your fingers and tie it with a loose strand of yarn in the center.
Snip around the pom pom to make it uniform in size.
Don't cut the loose strand of yarn that was used to tie the pom pom.
Insert your hook from bottom of the hat and pull the loose ends of the pom pom from top and secure it with few knots.
Weave off the yarn ends.
Hanging Loop:-

Pom Pom:-
Start by holding the end of the yarn on to your two fingers.
