Crochet Cat Applique with Starting Chains


Crochet Appliques are always fun to make. They are often very easy and quick to whip up. Crocheted Appliques are versatile. You could literally make an applique of anything you love. They make great embellishments for many crochet projects. You can use them to adore your crochet blankets, hats , clothing , Bag and many other craft projects.  You can also make Crochet Wall Hangings and Buntings from crocheted appliques.

Today am sharing the pattern for this cute and adorable Crochet Cat Applique. There are many cat patterns made in the rounds. This pattern is started of with Chain Stitches. With basic and simple stitches you can easily whip up this adorable kitty silhouette.




Materials Used:-
8 Ply Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
3 inches

Let's Start ....!!!!

Part 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 12.
1 Treble Crochet in the 5th Chain from the hook.
1 Double Crochet each in the next 2 stitches.
1 Half Double Crochet in the next stitch.
1 Single Crochet each in the next 2 stitches.
1 Slip Stitch in the next stitch.






Facial Features:-
In the last stitch make the following stitches:-
3 Double Crochets.
Chain 3 Picot(i.e Chain 3 and make a Slip Stitch into the Bottom Stitch)
2 Double Crochets
Chain 3 Picot.
3 Double Crochets.





Part 2:-
Start working on the opposite side.
1 Slip Stitch.
1 Single Crochet each in the next 2 stitches.
1 Half Double Crochet in the next stitch.
1 Double Crochet each in the next 2 stitches.
1 Treble Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 3 and make a Slip Stitch in the same stitch.





Tail:-
Chain 10.
1 Slip Stitch in the 2nd Chain from the hook.
1 Slip Stitch each of the remaining stitches.



Finishing:-
1 Surface Slip stitch in each stitch across the body and weave off.





Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Part 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.

1 trbl in the 5th Ch from the hook.
1 Double Crochet each in the next 2 Sts.
1 HDC in the next St.
1 SC each in the next 2 Sts.
1 SL in the next St.

Facial Features:-
In the last St make the following Sts:-
3 DC.
Ch 3 Picot(i.e Ch 3 and make a SL into the Bottom St)
2 DC
Ch 3 Picot.
3 DC.

Part 2:-
Start working on the opposite side.
1 SL.
1 SC each in the next 2 Sts.
1 HDC in the next St.
1 Double Crochet each in the next 2 Sts.
1 trbl in the last St.
Ch 3 and make a SL in the same St.

Tail:-
Ch 10.
1 SL in the 2nd Ch from the hook.
1 SL each of the remaining Sts.

Finishing:-
1 Surface SL in each St across the body and weave off.
