Simple and Easy Crochet Element Blanket



A Simple Crocheted Blanket is the best Crochet Project option to make when you just want have a calm time. Crocheting a Blanket is the most relaxing hobby you can have. The best thing about making a crocheted blanket is that you can make it as large or as small as you would like. If you are working on a pattern which is a one row repeat pattern then you will definitely have fun and enjoy making the crochet blanket. Once you have the first few repeat rounds, you can just relax and go on without the need to keep looking at the pattern.

Here is a Simple and Easy Crochet Element Blanket pattern.  The pattern is very easy, made with basic simple crochet stitches. You can change the size of the blanket by altering the starting number of stitches.




Materials Used:-
8 Ply Cotton Yarn 
4 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
36 inches- Customizable to any size

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 100.
This measures around 36 inches.
You can adjust the size of the blanket by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any multiple of 4.



Round 2:-
3 Double Crochets in the Fourth Chain from the hook.
Skip 3 Stitches.
3 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Skip 3 Stitches.
Repeat(3DC, Skip 3)
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2.

Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
  • Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Turn your project and insert the hook into the first space.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
  • Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
  • This will make one Double Crochet.








Round 3:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
1 Treble Crochet into the Middle Stitch of One Row Below i.e into the Middle Stitch of Round 1.
1 Double Crochet into the same space.
Skip the next 3 Stitches. We will be working only in each of the spaces.
Repeat(1DC, 1 Trbl(in middle stitch of 1 Row below) , 1DC).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain method  mentioned in the previous round to make the turning chain.

How to make a Treble Crochet??...here it is.....!!
  1. Yarn over hook twice, insert hook in the Stitch and Pull up a loop.(4 loops on hook). 
  2. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops remain on hook). 
  3. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops remain on hook).
  4. Yarn over, pull 2 loops on hook (1 treble crochet complete).














Round 4:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
1 Treble Crochet into the Middle Stitch of One Row Below i.e into the Middle Stitch of the 3 Double Crochets.
1 Double Crochet into the same space.
Skip the next 3 Stitches. We will be working only in each of the spaces.
Repeat(1DC, 1 Trbl(in middle stitch of 1 Row below) , 1DC).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain method to make the turning chain.








Round 5 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 untill the size needed and weave off.



Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.

1 DC into the same space.
Sk the next 3 Sts. We will be working only in each of the spaces.
Repeat(1DC, 1 Trbl(in middle St of 1 Row below) , 1DC).
1 DC in the last St.
Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch method  mentioned in the previous round to make the turning Ch.

Round 4:-
(1 DC is already made while making the turning Ch)
1 trbl into the Middle St of One Row Below i.e into the Middle St of the 3 DCs.
1 DC into the same space.
Sk the next 3 Sts. We will be working only in each of the spaces.
Repeat(1DC, 1 Trbl(in middle St of 1 Row below) , 1DC).
1 DC in the last St.
Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch method to make the turning Ch.

Round 5 Onwards:-
