How To Make a Super Easy and Fast Crochet Blanket


If you are looking out for a super easy , on the go Crocheted Blanket pattern, then this is a great pattern that is super quick and simple to make. Often, Crochet Blankets are one of the most popular crochet projects because they are relatively easy to make and can be customized to any size and color of your choice. These quick and easy crochet blankets are perfect for gift giving.

Here is a quick pattern for a Super Easy and Fast Crochet Blanket. The pattern is very easy made with basic simple crochet stitches. I used bulky yarn for the blanket. You can use any yarn of your choice. The thicker the yarn, the faster the blanket will be finished.



 

Materials Used:-
10 Ply Cotton Yarn 
6 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
40 inches- Customizable to any size

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 100.
This measures around 40 inches.
You can adjust the size of the blanket by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any even number of Chains.


Round 2:-
1 Single Crochet in the Second Chain from the hook.
1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.





Round 3:-
1 Half Double Crochet in each of the stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 2.

Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
  • Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
  • Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
  • This will make one Double Crochet.





Round 4:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
1 Double Crochet in each of the stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.




Round 5:-
1 Single Crochet.
1 Back Post Double Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(1SC, 1BPDC)
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.

How to make a Back Post Double Crochet...??:-
  • Yarn Over and  insert your hook from Back to Front to Back around the post of the stitch.
  • Finish the stitch as the normal Double Crochet , i.e .Yarn Over and pull up a loop, Yarn Over and pull through 2 loops on your hook, Yarn Over and  pull through remaining two loops on your hook.








Round 6:-
1 Single Crochet in each of the stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.



Round 7:-
1 Half Double Crochet
1 Slip Stitch in the next stitch.
Repeat(1HDC, 1SL)
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.





Round 8 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 2 ,3 ,4, 5, 6, and 7 untill the size needed and weave off.







Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Repeat(1SC, 1BPDC)
Once you reach end, Ch 1 and turn your work.

Round 6:-
1 SC in each of the Sts.
Once you reach end, Ch 1 and turn your work.

Round 7:-
1 HDC
1 SL in the next St.
Repeat(1HDC, 1SL)
Once you reach end, Ch 1 and turn your work.

Round 8 Onwards:-
