How to Crochet Pumpkin Potholder Easy Crochet Pattern and Tutorial

Fall is such a colorful season and those beautiful fall colors are a great inspiration for many Fall and Autumn Crochet Projects. This is definitely the perfect time to crochet up some cute Pumpkin inspired crochet projects. There is nothing more fun than crocheting holiday theme projects.

Here's a cute and easy Crochet Pumpkin Potholder pattern. This will be perfect crochet project for your table setting. You can also use them for home decor by hanging them on the wall for your Autumn decorations.

This cute crochet pumpkin pot holder is really easy to make. The pattern is very simple and quick to make. Pumpkin Potholder Crochet Patterns are great because they can not only be used for Fall decorations, but also you can also make them throughout anytime of the year.




Materials Used:-
8 Ply Cotton Yarn 
4 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
7 inches- Customizable to any size

Notes:-
  • For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.
  • For this whole pattern we will be working in between each of the stitches. Instead of inserting your hook only on top of the stitch, yarn over and insert your hook under the whole stitch.(i.e in between the two stitches).

Let's Start ....!!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
12 Double Crochets in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
12 Stitches.



Round 2:-
Chain 2.
2 Double Crochets in each stitch around.
--Instead of inserting your hook only on top of the stitch, yarn over and insert your hook under the whole stitch.(i.e in between the two stitches)- Follow the same for the whole pattern.--
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
24 stitches.



Round 3:-
Chain 2. 1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
36 Stitches.


Round 4:-
Chain 2. 
1 Double Crochet each in 2 stitches.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC*2, 2DC)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
48 Stitches.


Round 5:-
Chain 2. 
1 Double Crochet each in 3 stitches.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC*3 2DC)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
60 Stitches.


Round 6:-
Chain 2. 
1 Double Crochet each in 4 stitches.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC*4 2DC)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
72 Stitches.

I Stopped with the increases with this round. If you wish to make your potholder bigger, then continue with the increase rounds till the size needed.

Start each round with Chain 2(Not counted as a stitch)
Round 7--DC*5, 2DC in next stitch(84) 
Round 8--DC*6, 2DC in next stitch(96)
Round 9--DC*7, 2DC in next stitch(108)
 .....and so on.


Border:-
Chain 2.
2 Double Crochets in the same stitch.
Skip 2 Stitches.
1 Slip Stitch in the next stitch.
Repeat(Ch2, 2DC, Skip 2, 1 SL)
Make the last slip Stitch into the first DC.




Border:-
Chain 10.
Make a Slip Stitch into the bottom stitch and weave off.




Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

2 DCs in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC*2, 2DC)
SL on top of the first DC.
48 Sts.

Round 5:-
Ch 2. 
1 DC each in 3 Sts.
2 DCs in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC*3 2DC)
SL on top of the first DC.
60 Sts.

Round 6:-
Ch 2. 
1 DC each in 4 Sts.
2 DCs in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC*4 2DC)
SL on top of the first DC.
72 Sts.
