Here is a fall inspired crochet blanket pattern. Today am sharing the pattern for Easy To Make Pumpkin Stretch Crochet Blanket. The color used for the blanket speaks "Fall and Autumn" , hence the name, Pumpkin Blanket. You can of course use any color of your choice and make them around anytime of the year.
The pattern is made by repeating only 2 rounds untill you reach the size needed. The Front Post Double Crochets and the Single Crochets worked together gives the rich texture to the blanket. The easy repeat pattern makes this project a fast make.
Materials Used:-
6 Ply Cotton Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook
Size:-
34 inches- Customizable to any size

Let's Start...!!!
Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 100 +1 Chain for the turning Chain.
This measures around 34 inches.
You can adjust the size of the blanket by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any multiple of 4 + 1 chain extra for the turning chain.
Round 2:-
1 Double Crochet in the Second Chain from the hook.
1 Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 2.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.(the first Double Crochet)
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
- This will make one Double Crochet.
Round 3:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
Skip 1 Stitch.
1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Skip 1 Stitch
3 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat(1SC, Skip 1, 3DC, Skip 1).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain method to make the turning chain.
Round 4:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
3 Front Post Double Crochets in the Single Crochet from the previous round.
1 Single Crochet on the Middle Double Crochet(i.e.the 2nd Double Crochet) from the previous round.
Repeat(3FPDC- on the SC, 1 SC- into the middle DC)
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain method to make the turning chain.
Round 5:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
1 Single Crochet on the Middle Double Crochet(i.e.the 2nd Double Crochet)
3 Front Post Double Crochets in the Single Crochet.
Repeat(1 SC- into the middle DC, 3FPDC- on the SC)
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain method to make the turning chain.
Round 6:-
Keep repeating Round 4 and Round 5 untill the size needed.
Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

3 FPDCs in the SC from the previous round.
1 SC on the Middle DC(i.e.the 2nd DC) from the previous round.
Repeat(3FPDC- on the SC, 1 SC- into the middle DC)
1 DC in the last St.
Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch method to make the turning Ch.
Round 5:-
(1 DC is already made while making the turning Ch)
1 SC on the Middle DC(i.e.the 2nd DC)
3 FPDCs in the SC.
Repeat(1 SC- into the middle DC, 3FPDC- on the SC)
1 DC in the last St.
Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch method to make the turning Ch.
Round 6:-
Keep repeating Round 4 and Round 5 untill the size needed.
