Simple Crochet Autumn Bell Flower Bookmark

This is the season of Crocheting Crochet flowers and Leaves. Crochet Flowers and Crochet leaf motifs have always been very popular choice of crafters. They are the most quick working project and they are just very versatile to be included into larger Crochet Projects. There is nothing more fun than crocheting your own holiday theme projects.

Today am sharing the pattern for Simple Crochet Autumn Bell Flower Bookmark. Crocheted Bookmarks Crochet bookmarks are quick and fun projects to make on the go. You can easily whip up a bookmark in just few minutes. This would make great decor and gift giving project. You can make a couple of them to sell at Holiday Themed Craft fairs.

The pattern is very easy and beginner friendly. The Bell Flower is made with Puff Stitches. Its also a great Stash Bursting project.



 

Materials Used:-

4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn

4 mm Crochet Hook

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

Chain 3(This will be counted as 1 Treble Crochet)

Make 11 Treble Crochets into the Magic Circle.(total 12 Treble Crochets made)

Pull the yarn end to close the Magic Circle.

Slip Stitch into the 3rd Chain.

Change the yarn color while making the Slip Stitch.

How to make a Treble Crochet??...here it is.....!!

1. Yarn over hook twice, insert hook in the Stitch and Pull up a loop.(4 loops on hook). 
2. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops remain on hook). 
3. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops remain on hook).
4. Lastly ,Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (1 treble crochet complete).

Round 2:-

**This round we will be working in-between the Treble Crochet Stitches.

Slip Stitch into the space between the two stitches.

Chain 2.

1 Puff Stitch into the same space.

Skip the next 2 Treble Crochets.

Repeat(1Puff(in between 2 Sts) , Sk2)

One you reach the end, make a Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Puff Stitch.

To make a Puff Stitch:-

1. First pull up the yarn on the hook to a height of a double crochet.
2. Yarn Over, insert hook in the same stitch and pull up a loop. Do not complete the stitch(3 loops on the hook)
3. Again, Yarn Over, insert hook in the same stitch and pull up a loop.(5 Loops on the hook).
4. Again, Yarn Over, insert hook in the same stitch and pull up a loop.(7 Loops on the hook).
5. To finish the Puff stitch, Yarn Over and Pull through all the loops.
6. Chain 1.
7. That's 1 Puff Stitch complete.

Round 3:-

Slip stitch into the space between the 2 Puff Stitches.

Chain 5(here the starting Chain 2 will be counted as 1 Double Crochet and the remaining stitches will be counted as Chain 3 Picot)

Slip Stitch into the 3rd Chain from the hook(that's 1 Chain 3 Picot made)

1 Double Crochet into the same space.

Repeat(1DC,Ch3 Picot,1DC) in each of the stitches in-between the Puff Stitches.

Once you reach the end , make a Slip Stitch into the 2nd Chain and weave off.

How to Make Chain 3 Picot??...here it is.....!!

Chain 3.

Make a Slip stitch into the Bottom stitch.

Round 4:-

Start working on the bottom of the flower.

Join the Stem Color yarn at the bottom with a Slip Stitch.

Make 1 Surface Slip Stitch around the bottom stitches of the flower.

Slip Stitch into the 1st Slip Stitch.

Chain 40.

Leaf:-

Chain 10.

1 Single Crochet in the second chain from the hook.

1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

1 Treble Crochet each in the next 4 stitches.

1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

1 Half Double Crochet in the next stitch.

1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.

Turn and Start working on the opposite side.

1 Half Double Crochet.

1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

1 Treble Crochet each in the next 4 stitches.

1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

1 Single Crochet in the last stitch.

1 Surface Slip stitch across the leaf.

Weave off yarn ends at the end.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Lastly ,YO, pull through 2 loops on hook (1 Trbl crochet complete).

Round 2:-

**This round we will be working in-between the Trbl Crochet Sts.

SL into the space between the two Sts.

Ch 2.

1 Puff St into the same space.

Skip the next 2 Trbl Crochets.

Repeat(1Puff(in between 2 Sts) , Sk2)

One you reach the end, make a SL on top of the 1st Puff St.

To make a Puff St:-

First pull up the yarn on the hook to a height of a DC.

YO, insert hook in the same St and pull up a loop. Do not complete the St(3 loops on the hook)

Again, YO, insert hook in the same St and pull up a loop.(5 Loops on the hook).

Again, YO, insert hook in the same St and pull up a loop.(7 Loops on the hook).

To finish the Puff St, YO and Pull through all the loops.

Ch 1.

That's 1 Puff St complete.

Round 3:-

SL into the space between the 2 Puff Sts.

Ch 5(here the starting Ch 2 will be counted as 1 DC and the remaining Sts will be counted as Ch 3 Picot)

SL into the 3rd Ch from the hook(that's 1 Ch 3 Picot made)

1 DC into the same space.

Repeat(1DC,Ch3 Picot,1DC) in each of the Sts in-between the Puff Sts.

Once you reach the end , make a SL into the 2nd Ch and weave off.

How to Make Ch 3 Picot??...here it is.....!!

Ch 3.

Make a SL into the Bottom St.

Round 4:-

Start working on the bottom of the flower.

Join the Stem Color yarn at the bottom with a SL.

Make 1 Surface SL around the bottom Sts of the flower.

SL into the 1st SL.

Ch 40.

Leaf:-

Ch 10.

1 SC in the second Ch from the hook.

1 DC in the next St.

1 Trbl Crochet each in the next 4 Sts.

1 DC in the next St.

1 Half DC in the next St.

1SC in the next St.

Turn and Start working on the opposite side.

1 Half DC.

1 DC in the next St.

1 Trbl Crochet each in the next 4 Sts.

1 DC in the next St.

1 SC in the last St.

1 Surface SL across the leaf.

Weave off yarn ends at the end.
