It's the season of love.....and wouldn't it be best time to make some heart themed crochet projects!!!!!Today I am sharing the Pattern for this Lovely Heart Filled Crochet Coaster. The Coaster has a tiny heart in the centre and it is worked up to convert into a round coaster.

These would be perfect for your last minute crafts for Valentine's Day. These are not only limited to Valentine's day, but sure you can use them all year around. These would make lovely handmade gifts for your friends and loved ones.

These crochet coasters are just too sweet and are pretty much very easy and quick to make.Brighten up your table Decorations with these pretty Heart Filled Crochet Coasters.

Materials Used:-
  1. Cotton Yarn( Two Colors)
  2. 4mm Crochet Hook
I have also given a Written Summary of this Pattern at the end.

Lets Start by Making the Tiny Heart.

I have shared a full Photo Tutorial of these Small Crochet Heart Applique.

Round 1:-(Tiny Heart)

Start with a Magic Circle.

  1. Chain 3 (Ch3)
  2. 3 Treble Crochet(3TR)
  3. 3 Double Crochet(3 DC)
  4. Chain 1(Ch1)
  5. 1 Treble Crochet(1 TR)
  6. Chain 1(Ch1)
  7. 3 Double Crochet(3DC)
  8. 3 Treble Crochet (3 TR)
  9. Chain 3 (Ch3)

To finish off, slip stitch in the magic ring.

Pull the yarn end tight to close the gap in the middle.

Round 2:-

3 Single Crochets in the Chain 3 Space.
2 Single Crochets each in rest of the stitches untill you reach the next chain 3 space.
3 Single Crochets in the Chain 3 Space.

Slip Stitch to end the round .

Change color when you make the slip stitch.

Round 3:-

Chain 2(Not Counted as a Double Crochet. This is just to bring the yarn to a working height.)

2 Double Crochets in each stitch around.

Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Double Crochet and not on the Chain 2. This will give you a smooth seamless finish.

Round 4:-

Chain 2(again not counted as a stitch)

1 Double Crochet. 2 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

Repeat *(1 Double Crochet , 2 Double Crochet) in rest of the stitches.

Slip Stitch to end the round.

Don't worry if your work seems to bunch up a little. This would be flattened in the next round.

Round 5:-

1 Double Crochet in each Stitch Around.

Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Double Crochet to end the round.

Round 6:-

Chain 2(Not Counted as a Stitch)

1 Double Crochet,
1 Double Crochet in the next stitch,
2 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

Repeat*(1DC, 1DC, 2DC) all around.

Slip stitch to end the round.

While making the slip stitch, change to the yarn color which you have used to make the heart.

Round 7:-

Last Round is the Border Round.

I have used Reverse Single Crochet for the Border.

Start the round with Chain 1,1 Reverse single crochet in the rest of the stitches.

This stitch is similar to the standard single crochet, but instead of inserting your hook in the next stitch to your "RIGHT" you insert your hook into the next stitch to the "LEFT" and create your Single Crochet stitch there.

To make a Reverse Single Crochet:-

  1. Insert your hook,in the next stitch to the right.
  2. Yarn over, and draw the yarn through the stitch.
  3. Yarn over and draw the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook.

This creates a lovely ribbed look.

Slip Stitch and weave off the yarn ends.

There you go!!!!.... Don't they look cute!!!!!
