How To Crochet a Easy Candy Cane

Christmas is just around the corner and we all are gearing up to decorate our house and make some lovely Christmas Projects. I love making homemade crochet things particularly around the holidays. Crocheting your own Christmas ornaments and decorations is a lovely way to get into the festive spirit. Christmas season brings around tons of opportunities to get creative with crocheting. The options are endless.

You can make Crochet Ornaments for decorations like Crochet Snowflakes, Wreaths , Crochet Gingerbread Man, Crochet Stars, Crochet Santa, Crochet Stockings... and many more.
You can use them for decorating your Christmas tree or you can hang them on the front door, or use them for outdoor decorations and they are great for giving as gifts too!

Today am sharing the this fun and quick tutorial on How To Crochet a Easy Candy Cane. This pattern is super quick & easy and will make just the cutest Christmas embellishments for your Holiday makes!




Materials Used:-
  • 4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn (Red and White)
  • 4 mm Crochet Hook
  • Floral Wire
Size:-
3.5 Inches - can be customized to any size

Let's Start!

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 40.
This measures 8 inches. You can change the size of the Candy Cane by increasing or decreasing these starting chain stitches. 

Round 2:-(Make 2 - One with each Color)
3 Single Crochets in the 2nd Chain from the hook.
3 Single Crochets in each of the remaining stitches.
With these stitches the coils will form automatically.
Weave off at the end.





Assembling:-
Wrap both the pieces around each other.
See to it that the colors alternate each other.
Weave in the yarn ends.




Shaping:-
Cut out a piece of Floral Wire around 4.5 inches.
Insert the wire through center  from one end to other end of the candy cane and shape it accordingly.
