Easy DIY Ribbed Crochet Mobile Pouch



It’s always exciting and fun to make your own crochet accessories. Crocheting your own  Crochet Phone Covers is a great way to protect your phone or other electronic devices. The best thing about making a crochet accessories is that they are completely versatile and you can customize them to any size shape or color of your liking.

Today am sharing the pattern for Easy DIY Ribbed Crochet Mobile Pouch. This is a very simple and quick pattern that can be adapted to all kinds of phones. The pattern is very easy which is made with only Half Double Crochets. The only twist is that the stitches are made only in the Third Loops. This creates a lovely Knit Like textured finish.




Materials Used:-
Worsted Weight Yarn
5.5 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
7.5/3.5 inches - Customizable to any size

US Crochet Terms

Abbreviations Used:-
Ch - Chain
HDC - Half Double Crochet
St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches
SL - Slip Stitch

Notes-
For this whole pattern will be making the stitches into the Third Back Loop of the stitch.
This gives the raised ridged look which looks similar to Surface Slip stitch and a Knit Like Texture

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a slip knot.
Chain 12. 
You can change these starting number of chains according to the size of your gadget.


Round 2:-
1 Half Double Crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook.
1 Half Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches untill the last stitch.
3 Half Double Crochets in the last stitch.
Turn your work and start working on the opposite side.
1 Half Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches untill the last stitch.
3 Half Double Crochets in the last stitch.
Slip stitch on top of the 1st Half Double Crochet.

Round 3:-
**This round onwards , we will be making the stitches into the Third Back Loop of the stitch - i.e. Count the Stitches from the Front - Front Loop , Back Loop and the loop in the Back of the Back Loop is the Third Loop.
Chain 2(this wont be counted as a stitch. This is just to bring the yarn to the working height)
1 Half Double Crochet in each of the Third Loops.
Once you reach the end , do not make a Slip Stitch , we will be working in continuous rounds.

Round 4:-
1 Half Double Crochet in each of the Third Loops.
Once you reach the end , do not make a Slip Stitch , we will be working in continuous rounds.

Round 5 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 untill the size needed.

Button Loop:-
1 Slip Stitch in each of the Third Loops untill you reach the mid point.
Chain 10 and Slip Stitch into the same stitch(this will make the Button Loop)
Continue with 1 Slip Stitch in each of the Third Loops of the remaining stitches.
Once you reach the end make a Slip Stitch into the 1st stitch and weave off.
Using a Yarn Needle ,sew the button on the opposite side of the Button Loop.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Ch 2(this wont be counted as a St. This is just to bring the yarn to the working height)
1 HDC in each of the Third Loops.
Once you reach the end , do not make a SL , we will be working in continuous rounds.

Round 4:-
1 HDC in each of the Third Loops.
Once you reach the end , do not make a SL , we will be working in continuous rounds.

Round 5 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 untill the size needed.

Button Loop:-
1 SL in each of the Third Loops untill you reach the mid point.
Ch 10 and SL into the same St(this will make the Button Loop)
Continue with 1 SL in each of the Third Loops of the remaining Sts.
Once you reach the end make a SL into the 1st St and weave off.
Using a Yarn Needle ,sew the button on the opposite side of the Button Loop.
