Its that time of the year to Spook up with Halloween Themed Crochet Patterns !!! Halloween is such a fun time of year. It is a fun time to make and give treats to friends and neighbors and its also the perfect time to showcase your crochet skills.
Today am sharing the pattern for Quick and Easy Crochet Halloween Triangle Placemat. I made these as a Part of The 2025 Halloween Crochet Along with Marie from Undergroundcrafter.
Crochet placemats are the perfect way to add a handmade style to your dining table. Halloween Table Decor is surely the first thing that comes to mind for hosting a Halloween Themed Party. You can surely make these Placemats if you are looking for a quick and easy Halloween crochet pattern that you can make in no time at all.
This pattern is super simple and worked up quickly. Use festive themed colored yarn to suit your decor. You can easily customize it by making it as small or large as needed.
Materials Used:-
Base:-
10 Ply Bulky Cotton Yarn - Less Than 1 Skein
6.5 mm Crochet Hook
6.5 mm Crochet Hook
Eyes:-
Worsted Weight Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook
Size:-
13 Inches - can be customized to any size

Notes:-
- For this whole pattern the starting Chain 1 is not counted as a stitch. It is just to bring the yarn to a working height.
- Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Round 2:-
Chain 1.
3 Single Crochets in the same stitch.
Mark the middle stitch (i.e. the 2nd stitch) with a stitch marker.
This is the first corner
1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(3SC,1SC).
Mark the 2nd and 3rd corner as well with a stitch marker to keep a track of the stitches.
Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.
Round 3:-
Chain 1.
1 Single Crochet in each Stitch untill the Corner.
3 Single Crochets in the marked stitch(i.e.the Corner)
Mark the new corner with a stitch marker(i.e.the Middle Stitch)
Repeat(1SC in each of the stitch untill the corner, 3SC(in the Corner St)).
Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.
Round 4 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 3 untill its around 13 to 14 inches or untill the size needed.
Remember to:-
- Start each round with Chain 1(Not counted as a stitch)
- Start the next stitch in the same stitch.
- 1 Single Crochet in each stitch untill the corner.
- 3 Single Crochets in the corner stitches.
- Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.
Eyes:-Make Two
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 2(Not counted as a stitch)
12 Double Crochets in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the Gap.
Slip stitch on top of the first single Crochet and weave off.
Using a yarn needle, sew the eyes on to the Placemat.
Weave off yarn ends.
Smile:-
Use Surface Slip Stitch to make the smile or you can also use a Yarn Needle to Sew the smile.
Make straight lines across the smile for the crooked smile face.
Weave off yarn ends.
Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Ch1(Not Counted as a St.)
5SCs in the Magic Circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
SL on top of the first SC.
Round 2:-
Ch1.
3SCs in the same St.
Mark the middle St (i.e. the 2nd St) with a St marker.
This is the first corner
1SC in the next St.
Repeat(3SC,1SC).
Mark the 2nd and 3rd corner as well with a St marker to keep a track of the Sts.
SL on top of the first SC.
Round 3:-
Ch1.
1SC in each St untill the Corner.
3SCs in the marked St(i.e.the Corner)
Mark the new corner with a St marker(i.e.the Middle St)
Repeat(1SC in each of the St untill the corner, 3SC(in the Corner St)).
SL on top of the first SC.
Round 4 Onwards:-
