Quick and Easy Halloween Crochet Skull Charms


Crochet Charms are the best to add a personal touch to you belongings. They are great to adorn many Crochet Projects. Crochet Charms are often quick and easy projects and are quite fun to make.



 

If you are looking out for a Spooky Halloween pattern, this skull Charm may be just what you need. 

This is a Two Round pattern, made with the basic Crochet Stitches. This is a beginner friendly pattern. You can use them as appliques and embellishments for you crochet projects or add a Hanging loop and use them as Charms and Gift toppers.

Materials Used:-
4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

2.5 inches

SL - Slip Stitch
St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches
SC - Single Crochet
DC - Double Crochet

Let's Start:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
1 Stacked Single Crochet - This will be counted as a Double Crochet,
3 Double Crochets,
Chain 3,
1 Double Crochet,
Chain 1,
1 Double Crochet,
Chain 3,
3 Double Crochets.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

How to Make the Stacked Single Crochet.....??? Here it is :-
  1. Start with a regular  Single Crochet in the 1st stitch.
  2. Insert your hook into the 2nd Vertical Leg of the Single Crochet(i.e the 2nd Vertical Leg from Right to Left ), Yarn Over and Pull up a loop - 2 loops on the hook.
  3. Yarn over and Pull through the 2 loops.
  4. That's 1 Stacked Single Crochet made.

Round 2:-
Chain 1- This wont be counted as a Stitch.
2 Single Crochets each into the 4  Double Crochets,
5 Single Crochets into the Chain 3 Space,
1 Slip Stitch into the Double Crochet,
Chain 3,
3 Double Crochets into the Chain 1 Space,
Chain 3,
1 Slip Stitch into the next Double Crochet,
5 Single Crochets into the Chain 3 Space,
2 Single Crochets each into the remaining stitches.
Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Stitch.

If you wish, you can weave off here and use as a applique for your Crochet Projects.

Hanging Loop:-
Chain 10.(You can alter the chains according to your choice)
Slip Stitch into the same stitch and weave off.
 

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.

3DCs,
Ch 3,
1DC,
Ch 1,
1DC,
Ch 3,
3DCs.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
SL on top of the 1st DC.

How to Make the Stacked SC.....??? Here it is :-
