Easy Crochet Primrose Scarf

I love making scarves. Crochet scarf patterns are easy and fun to make. Whether you are making a super simple beginner scarf or a more complex design , you will definitely enjoy making one. Crocheted Scarf Patterns are often among the first choice of many when learning to crochet.

Today am sharing the pattern for Easy Crochet Primrose Scarf .The Primrose Stitch is a stunning stitch which is quick and easy to work up. Its a Two Row repeat pattern and the unique stitch creates a beautiful textured finish.

Materials Used:-
8 Ply Cotton Yarn
5 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
6/40 inches- Customizable to any size

Let's Start:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 21 + 2 Chain for the turning chain.
You can adjust the size by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any multiple of 3 + 2 Chains for the turning chain.
Round 2:-
In the 3rd Chain from the hook make -(1 Single Crochet, Chain 2,1 Single Crochet)-all in the same stitch.
Skip 2 stitches.
Repeat((1SC,Ch2,1SC),Sk2).
1 Half Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the turning chain.

Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
  • Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
  • Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
  • This will make one Double Crochet.

Round 3:-
**This Round we will be working only into the Chain 2 spaces.
1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain.
3 Double Crochets in each of the Chain 2 spaces.
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach the end ,Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain to make the turning chain.

Round 4:-
**This Round we will be working only into the Middle Stitch of the 3 Double Crochet bunch(i.e.into the 2nd Stitch of each bunch) .
1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain.
(1 Single Crochet, Chain 2,1 Single Crochet) into each of the middle stitch of the 3 Double Crochet bunch.
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the turning chain.

Round 5 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 3 and Round 4 untill the size needed and weave off.
 
Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Round 3:-
**This Round we will be working only into the Ch2 spaces.
1 DC is already made while making the turning Ch.
3DCs in each of the Ch2 spaces.
1DC in the last St.
Once you reach the end ,Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch  to make the turning Ch.

Round 4:-
**This Round we will be working only into the Middle St of the 3 Double Crochet bunch(i.e.into the 2nd St of each bunch) .
1 DC is already made while making the turning Ch.
(1SC,Ch2,1SC) into each of the middle St of the 3 Double Crochet bunch.
1DC in the last St.
Once you reach end,Ch2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch to make the turning Ch.

Round 5 Onwards:-
