Crochet Candle Holder


Everybody loves candles. Work up this pretty Crochet Candle Holder to add ambience to your candles.You can play around with the color of the yarn and make them to suit any holiday occasion. Use a Red color yarn to make them for your Valentine decoration or add a round of Green color yarn to make them for your Christmas decorations.This handmade crochet candle holder will definitely be a beautiful addition for your home decor.
Materials Used:-
  • Cotton Knitting Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook
Here is the Video Tutorial:-



Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 2.(Not Counted as a Stitch)



12 Double Crochet into the magic circle.




Pull the yarn end to close the gap and slip stitch on top of the first double crochet.





Round 2:-
Start with Chain 2(Not Counted as a Stitch)
1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same stitch.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
24 Stitches(12 DCs,12FPDCs)


Round 3:-
Start with Chain 2(Not Counted as a Stitch)
2 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the next Stitch. 
Chain 2.
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same Stitch.


Repeat*(2DC,(1FPDC,Chain2,1FPDC)
Slip Stitch on top of the first double crochet to end the round.
12 Chain 2 Spaces.

Round 4:-
Chain 2(Not Counted as a stitch)
1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.
1 Popcorn stitch in the Chain 2 space from previous round.

To make a Pop Corn stitch:-

  1. Make 5 double crochet stitches in the same stitch.
  2. Drop the loop from your hook.
  3. Insert your hook in the first double crochet you made.
  4. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.
  5. Chain 1.
That's One Pop Corn stitch made.


Repeat*(1DC,1DC,1Popcorn)
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
Round 5:-
Chain 5.
1 Single Crochet on top of the Popcorn.
Repeat*(Chain 5,1SC)
Slip stitch to end the round.
Round 6:-
Slip stitch into the chain space.
Chain 2.(Not Counted as a stitch)
5 Double Crochet in the chain space.
Repeat*(5DC) in the chain 5 spaces.
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
Round 7:-
Chain 1(Not Counted as a stitch)
1 Single Crochet into the same stitch.
1 Double Crochet each in the next 2 stitches.
1 Picot Stitch.

(Chain 3 and Slip stitch on the DC to make a Picot stitch.)
 1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
 1 Double Crochet in the Next Stitch.
 1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Slip Stitch in between the next space.
Repeat*(1SC,1DC,1DC,1picot,1DC(in same stitch),1DC,1SC)
 Weave off the yarn ends.
There you go........ they are ready to be decorated with your favourite candles.!!!!!

    2. thank you for responding. I think I have it figured out. I re-did it and came out with 11 popcorns.Is that correct? I think it would be helpful if you put in the directions how many stitches you should have at the end of each round. I really like the pattern by the way. I have never seen anything like this.
