Crochet Double Crochets are the best stitch to use for making a Crocheted Blanket. By combining the Double Crochet stitches with other stitches , you can make beautiful patterns. Crochet Blankets are the most versatile projects you can make by using variations of the Crochet Stitches. Even with simple stitches you can make beautiful themed crochet blankets suitable for any occasion.
Today am sharing Crochet Blanket With Easy Stitch Pattern. This blanket is made with a Row of Double Crochets alternated with a row of Single Crochets. The pattern is made by working 2 Double Crochets in the same stitch and skipping a stitch to start the repeat. You can alter the size of the blanket by changing the starting chains.
Materials Used:-
8 Ply Cotton Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook
Size:-
38 inches- Customizable to any size

PIN it and Save for Later:-
2 Double Crochets in the Fourth chain from the hook.
Skip 1 Stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next Stitch.
Skip 1 Stitch.
Repeat(2DC,Sk 1).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.
1 Single Crochet in each stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
- This will make one Double Crochet.
Round 4:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
Skip 1 Stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Skip 1 Stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next Stitch.
Skip 1 Stitch.
Repeat(2DC,Sk 1).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.
1 Single Crochet in each stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain method to make the turning chain.
Keep repeating Round 4 and Round 5 untill the size needed and weave off.
Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-
Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Ch 100 + 3 Chs for the turning Ch.
This measures around 38 inches.
You can adjust the size of the blanket by altering these Sts according to your requirement.
Start with any multiple of 2 + 3 Chs for the turning Ch.
Round 2:-
2 DCs in the Fourth Ch from the hook.
Sk 1 St.
2 DCs in the next St.
Sk 1 St.
Repeat(2DC,Sk 1).
1 DC in the last St.
Once you reach end, Ch 1 and turn your work.
Round 3:-
1 SC in each St.
Once you reach end, Ch 2.

1 SC in each St.
Once you reach end, Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch method to make the turning Ch.
Round 6 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 and Round 5 untill the size needed and weave off.
