Easy Textured Crochet Boho Coaster with Macrame Thread

I love making Crochet Projects with Macrame Thread. They make the finished products more sturdy and strong. Hence they are great for making Crochet Bags, Rugs and Placemats. Macrame Threads are usually White or Off - White and are great for adding touch of Boho style to your Crochet Projects.

Today am sharing the pattern for a Easy Textured Crochet Boho Coaster with Macrame Thread . The pattern is super easy and quick to whip up. They will make the perfect accessory for your Mugs and Glasses. They are also great for Gift Giving.

The pattern uses the Basic Crochet Stitches. The textured finish to the coaster is added with the Crochet Popcorn Stitch. Elevate your Crochet Home Decor with these fun to make Easy Boho Coasters!!!

Materials Used:-

2 Ply Cotton Macrame Thread

4 .50 mm Crochet Hook

Lets Start .... !!!

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

Chain 4 - the starting chain 3 will be counted as 1 Double Crochet and the remaining stitch will be counted as Chain 1.

1 Double Crochet. Chain 1

Repeat(1DC, Chain 1) untill you have total 12 DC and 12 Chain 1 Space.

Slip stitch into the 3rd Chain.

Round 2:-

Slip Stitch into the Chain Space.

Start with a Stacked Single Crochet - This will be counted as a Double Crochet.

1 Double Crochet in the same  space.

Chain 1.

Repeat(2 DC, Chain 1) in each of the Chain spaces.

Slip stitch on top of the 1st stitch.

24 stitches.

How to Make the Stacked Single Crochet.....??? Here it is :-

1. Start with a regular  Single Crochet in the 1st stitch.
2. Insert your hook into the 2nd Vertical Leg of the Single Crochet(i.e the 2nd Vertical Leg from Right to Left ), Yarn Over and Pull up a loop - 2 loops on the hook.
3. Yarn over and Pull through the 2 loops.
4. That's 1 Stacked Single Crochet made.

Round 3:-

Start with a Stacked Single Crochet - This will be counted as a Double Crochet.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

36 Stitches.

Round 4:-

Start with a Stacked Single Crochet - This will be counted as a Double Crochet.

1 Popcorn Stitch in the next stitch.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Repeat*(1DC,1 Popcorn St,2DC)

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

48 Stitches.

How to make a Pop Corn stitch...?????:-

1. Make 5 double crochet stitches in the same stitch.
2. Drop the loop from your hook.
3. Insert your hook in the first double crochet you made.
4. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.
5. That's one Popcorn stitch made.

Round 5:-

Start with a Stacked Single Crochet - This will be counted as a Double Crochet.

1 Front Post Double Crochet on the Popcorn Stitch

1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Repeat*(1DC,1FPDC(on the Popcorn St),1DC, 2DC)

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

60 Stitches.

Round 6:-

Start with Chain 2.

3 more Double Crochets in the same stitch.

Skip 3 stitches.

1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.

Repeat((Chain 2, (1DC)*3)- all in same stitch, Skip 3, 1 SC in the next stitch)

Slip stitch into the first stitch and weave off.

Here is the Summary o the Pattern:-

How to Make the Stacked SC.....??? Here it is :-

Start with a regular  SC in the 1st St.

Insert your hook into the 2nd Vertical Leg of the SC(i.e the 2nd Vertical Leg from Right to Left ), Yarn Over and Pull up a loop - 2 loops on the hook.

Yarn over and Pull through the 2 loops.

That's 1 Stacked SC made.

Round 3:-

Start with a Stacked SC - This will be counted as a DC.

2 DCs in the next St.

Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).

SL on top of the 1st DC.

36 Sts.

Round 4:-

Start with a Stacked SC - This will be counted as a DC.

1 Popcorn St in the next St.

2 DCs in the next St.

Repeat*(1DC,1 Popcorn St,2DC)

SL on top of the 1st DC.

48 Sts.

How to make a Pop Corn St...?????:-

Make 5 DC Sts in the same St.

Drop the loop from your hook.

Insert your hook in the 1st DC you made.

Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the St.

Start with a Stacked SC - This will be counted as a DC.

1FPDC on the Popcorn St
