Crochet Table runners are very easy to crochet and they can be made in so many different styles with unlimited variation of Crochet Stitches. They can be easily made to suit any Festive Occasion and Celebration Theme. You can always alter the stitches to make them as long as needed or as small as you wish.
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, here is a easy crochet table runner pattern you can whip up to decorate your table for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Today am sharing the pattern for Simple and Easy Crochet Table Runner. This is a easy Two Row Repeat Pattern made with Double Crochet V-Stitches and Shell Stitches. The easy repeat pattern makes it a quick project and you will definitely enjoy making it.
Materials Used:-
4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook
Size:-
Base - 10 inches - Customizable to any size
Length - Customizable to any size

Round 2:-
2 Double Crochet in the Fourth Chain from the hook.(that's total 3 Double Crochets made)
Skip 3 Stitches.1 DC V - Stitch(i.e (1 Double Crochet, Chain 1, 1 Double Crochet in the same stitch)
Skip 3 Stitches.
1 Shell Stitch(i.e. 5 Double Crochets in the same stitch)
Skip 3 Stitches.
Repeat(1DC V-St,Sk 3,1 Shell St,Sk 3).
3 Double Crochets in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
- This will make one Double Crochet.
Round 3:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.(that's total 2 Double Crochets)
1DC V - Stitch on top of the Shell Stitch.(i.e. Into the 3rd Double Crochet).
1 Shell Stitch into the Chain 1 Space of the V-Stitch.
Repeat(1DC V-St,1 Shell St).
2 Double Crochets in the last stitch.
Once you reach the end ,Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain method mentioned in the previous round to make the turning chain.
Round 4:-
(1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain)
2 Double Crochets in the same stitches.(that's total 3 Double Crochets)
1DC V - Stitch on top of the Shell Stitch.(i.e. Into the 3rd Double Crochet).
1 Shell Stitch into the Chain 1 Space of the V-Stitch.
Repeat(1DC V-St,1 Shell St).
3 Double Crochets in the last stitch.
Once you reach the end ,Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain method to make the turning chain.
Round 5:-
Keep repeating Round 3 and Round 4 untill the size needed and weave off.
Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Ch 40.
This measures around 10 inches.
You can adjust the size by altering these Sts according to your requirement.
Start with any Multiple of 4.
Round 2:-
2 DC in the 4th Ch from the hook.(that's total 3 DCs made)
sk 3 Sts.
1 DC V - St(i.e (1 DC, Ch 1, 1 DC in the same St)
sk 3 Sts.
1 Shell St(i.e. 5 DCs in the same St)
sk 3 Sts.
Repeat(1DC V-St,Sk 3,1 Shell St,Sk 3).
3 DCs in the last St.
Once you reach end, Ch 2.
Straight Edge Turning Ch:-

Once you reach the end ,Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch method mentioned in the previous round to make the turning Ch.
Round 4:-
(1 DC is already made while making the turning Ch)
2 DCs in the same Sts.(that's total 3 DCs)
1DC V - St on top of the Shell St.(i.e. Into the 3rd DC).
1 Shell St into the Ch 1 Space of the V-St.
Repeat(1DC V-St,1 Shell St).
3 DCs in the last St.
