Easy Crochet Beanie Hat



Crochet hats and beanies are the most easy to make. They are often super quick to make. This makes them a super fun crochet project among many of the crocheters.
A handmade crochet items are always special. Besides the fact that they are so easy and quick to make, they are great for charity and gift projects. Crocheted hats make for great gift ideas, be it any occasion. 

Here is a super quick and Easy Crochet Beanie Hat pattern. The pattern is very simple made with the basic crochet stitches. The textured pattern of this hat is made with combination of Single Crochet and  Double Crochets. You can make this hat pattern with a solid color or a variegated yarn of your choice.




Materials Used:-
8 Ply Cotton Yarn 
5 mm Crochet Hook

Size:- 6 Inches Height , 7 Inches Brim - Can be customized to any size

Notes:-
For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. 
It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. 
Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Lets Start ...!!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 2(Not Counted as a stitch)
12 Double Crochets in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
12 Stitches.


Round 2:-

Chain 2.
2 Double Crochets in each stitch around.
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
24 stitches.


Round 3:-
Chain 2. 1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
36 Stitches.


Round 4:-
Chain 2. 
1 Double Crochet each in 2 stitches.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC*2, 2DC)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
48 Stitches.

If you wish to change the size of the Hat ,then follow the below mentioned increase pattern:-

Start each round with Chain 2(Not counted as a stitch) 
Round 5--DC 3, 2DC in next stitch(60)
Round 6--DC 4, 2DC in next stitch(72)
 .....and so on.

Round 5:-
In the first stitch make -(1 Single Crochet, 2 Double Crochets)- all in the same stitch.
Skip 2 stitches.
In the next stitch make - (1 Single Crochet, 2 Double Crochets)- all in the same stitch.
Skip 2 Stitches.
Repeat((1SC,2DC)-all in the same stitch),Skip 2).
Slip Stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.



Round 6:-
This round onwards we will be making the stitches in Single Crochet from previous round.
In the first Single Crochet make - (1 Single Crochet, 2 Double Crochets)- all in the same stitch.
In the next Single Crochet make (1 Single Crochet, 2 Double Crochets)- all in the same stitch.
Repeat((1SC,2DC)-all in the same stitch) - in each of the Single Crochets from the previous.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.




Round 7 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 6 untill the size needed and weave off.





You can add any Crochet Embellishment or Crochet Applique of your choice.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Ch 2(Not Counted as a St)
12 DCs in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip St on top of the first DC.
12 Sts.

Round 2:-
Ch 2.
2 DCs in each St around.
Slip St on top of the first DC.
24 Sts.

Round 3:-
Ch 2. 1 DC in the same St.
2 DCs in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).
Slip St on top of the first DC.
36 Sts.

Round 4:-
Ch 2. 
1 DC each in 2 Sts.
2 DCs in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC*2, 2DC)
Slip St on top of the first DC.
48 Sts.

If you wish to change the size of the Hat ,then follow the below mentioned increase pattern:-

Start each round with Ch 2(Not counted as a St) 
Round 5--DC 3, 2DC in next St(60)
Round 6--DC 4, 2DC in next St(72)
 .....and so on.

Round 5:-
In the first St make -(1 SC, 2 DCs)- all in the same St.
Skip 2 Sts.
In the next St make - (1 SC, 2 DCs)- all in the same St.
Skip 2 Sts.
Repeat((1SC,2DC)-all in the same St),Skip 2).
Slip St on top of the first SC.

Round 6:-
This round onwards we will be making the Sts in SC from previous round.
In the first SC make - (1 SC, 2 DCs)- all in the same St.
In the next SC make (1 SC, 2 DCs)- all in the same St.
Repeat((1SC,2DC)-all in the same St) - in each of the SCs from the previous.
Slip St on top of the first SC.

Round 7 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 6 untill the size needed and weave off.
You can add any Crochet Embellishment or Crochet Applique of your choice.
