Easy Crochet Lace Bookmark


There are times when you just don't want to get started on a large crochet project. You just want to sit and relax with a quick and easy crochet project. There are many easy and fast to whip up crochet projects which you can finish up in less than an hour. Crocheted Bookmarks are one of them. They are very practical, versatile and work up pretty quick.

Here's the pattern for Easy Crochet Lace Bookmark. This pretty and elegant Crochet Lace Bookmark is made with only Treble Crochets and Picot stitches. The Picot Stitch gives a lovely edge to the finished bookmark. Combine your love for books and crochet by making this lovely lace bookmark. They are also a great option for gift giving.

Materials Used:-
4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook




Size:-
8 inches- Customizable to any size

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 3
1 Treble Crochet.
Chain 3 Picot Stitch.(i.e. Chain 3 and make a Slip stitch into the Bottom stitch).
Repeat(1Trbl,Ch3 Picot)*6.(total 7 points will be made)
Chain 3 and Slip Stitch into the Magic Circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the Magic Circle.
Chain 3 and turn your work.

How to make a Treble Crochet??...here it is.....!!
  1. Yarn over hook twice, insert hook in the Stitch and Pull up a loop.(4 loops on hook). 
  2. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops remain on hook). 
  3. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops remain on hook).
  4. Yarn over, pull 2 loops on hook (1 treble crochet complete).









Round 2:-
We will be working into the Chain 3 space from the previous round.
1 Treble Crochet.
Chain 3 Picot Stitch.(i.e. Chain 3 and make a Slip stitch into the Bottom stitch).
Repeat(1Trbl,Ch3 Picot)*6.(total 7 points will be made)
Chain 3 and Slip Stitch into the same space.
Chain 3 and turn your work.


Round 3 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 2 untill its around 8 inches or untill the size needed of your choice.


Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
