Easy Half Double Crochet Spike Blanket



Often Crochet Patterns worked with simple stitches create the most beautiful Crochet Stitches. Crochet in itself in so versatile. Adding a little variation to the basic stitch creates a pretty crochet stitch pattern. Using these altered stitches are the best of the options to make a Crochet Blanket.

Today am sharing the pattern for Easy Half Double Crochet Spike Blanket. The pattern is made only with Single Crochets and Half Double Crochets. The only variation is that the Half double Crochets are made in the stitches from one row below. This creates a beautiful Spike look to the pattern. You can make this blanket with any Yarn of your choice. It looks pretty with any weight of yarn. Just be sure to change the Crochet Hook size according to the yarn weight.




Materials Used:-
8 Ply Cotton Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
38 inches- Customizable to any size

Let's Start:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 100.
This measures around 38  inches.
You can adjust the size of the blanket by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any number Multiple of 2.



Round 2:-
1 Single Crochet in the Second Chain from the hook.
1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn.




Round 3:-
1 Single Crochet in the first stitch.
1 Half Double Crochet  in the next stitch from 1 Row below.
Repeat((1SC),(1HDC-in the next Stitch from 1 row below))
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.






Round 4:-
1 Single Crochet in each of the stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn.





Round 5:-
1 Single Crochet in the first stitch.
1 Half Double Crochet  in the next stitch from 1 Row below.
Repeat((1SC),(1HDC-in the next Stitch from 1 row below))
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and turn your work.



Round 6 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 and Round 5 untill the size needed and weave off.



Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Once you reach end, Ch 1 and turn your work.

Round 6 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 and Round 5 untill the size needed and weave off.
