Simple Crochet Floral Lace Motif Pattern


Crochet Flowers are a beautiful creative way to add elegance and style to so many of your crochet projects. Crocheted Flower Lace patterns are a treat to the eyes. The delicate pattern of the lace looks very pretty. You can use them to embellish your crochet projects ,decorate your home or you can join and make them into Placemats, tablemats or Doilies.  

Today am sharing a Simple Crochet Floral Lace Motif Pattern. The pattern is very easy and a quick make. The flowers are made with Double Crochet Cluster stitches. You can use this lace pattern as a base for making a placemat or Tablemat. They are great for gift giving. You can use them as gift toppers or use them as a Crochet Bookmark.

Mercerised Yarn
3 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
8 inches - Customizable to any size

Lets Start ...!!!!

Round 1:-
Start With a Slip Knot.
*Chain 3.
1 Double Crochet in the 1st Chain i.e. the 3rd Chain from the hook.(that's the loop created for the flower)
Chain 3.
1 Double Crochet Cluster on top of the Double Crochet made.(insert your hook into both the loops for a neat finish)*
Repeat from * to * untill the size needed.

To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-
  1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
  3. Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
  4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.










Round 2:-
**This Round we will be working only in the Double Crochet Loops from the previous round.
Chain 3.
(skip the Double Crochet Cluster)
*1 Double Crochet Cluster.
Chain 3.
1 Double Crochet Cluster.*
Repeat from * to * in  each of the Double Crochet Loops.
Chain 6 , turn your work and start working on the opposite side.
Repeat from * to * in  each of the Double Crochet Loops untill the last loop.
In the last Double Crochet Loop , make only 1 Double Crochet Cluster.
Once you reach the end, Chain 3 and make a Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Double Crochet Cluster and weave off.

To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-
  1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
  3. Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
  4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.
  5. Chain 1.





















Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Round 2:-
**This Round we will be working only in the DC Loops from the previous round.
Ch3.
(Sk the DC Cluster)
*1DC Cluster.
Ch3.
1DC Cluster.*
Repeat from * to * in  each of the DC Loops.
Ch6 , turn your work and start working on the opposite side.
Repeat from * to * in  each of the DC Loops untill the last loop.
In the last DC Loop , make only 1DC Cluster.
Once you reach the end, Ch 3 and make a Slip St on top of the 1st DC Cluster and weave off.
