Today am sharing the pattern for a One Row Repeat Textured Crochet Scarf with V Stitch Cluster. Its a easy one row repeat pattern. The textured look is made with Double Crochet V Stitch Cluster stitch. Its a lovely stitch that adds texture and bulk to the finished project.
The V Stitch Cluster consists of Double Crochets and Chains worked together. This stitch looks same on both the sides and hence its makes awesome reversible projects. This stitch would be great for making Crochet Blankets , Home decor projects, Clothing Accessories and Hats.
Materials Used:-
8 Ply Speckled Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook
4 mm Crochet Hook
Size:-
6 / 30 Inches - can be customized to any size
Abbreviations Used:-
Ch - Chain
DC - Double Crochet
DC V-St CL = Double Crochet V Stitch Cluster
St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches
YO - Yarn Over

Round 2:-
1 Double Crochet V-Stitch Cluster In the 4th Chain from the hook.
Skip 2 Stitches.
1 Double Crochet V-Stitch Cluster in the next stitch.
Skip 2.
Repeat(1DC V-St Cluster,Sk2)
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the turning chain.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
- This will make one Double Crochet.
To Make a Double Crochet V-Stitch Cluster:-
- Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook.
- Chain 1.
- Yarn over, insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
- Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook.
- That's 1 Double Crochet V-Stitch Cluster made.
Round 3:-
1 Double crochet is already made with the Turning Chain.
1 Double Crochet V-Stitch Cluster in each of the Chain 1 Spaces(i.e. in between the V-Stitch Cluster)
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the turning chain.
Round 4 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 3 untill the size needed and weave off.
Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Ch 24 + 2 Chs extra for the Turning Ch.
This measures around 7 inches.
You can adjust the size of the Scarf by altering these Sts according to your requirement.
Start with any Multiple of 3 + 2 Chs extra for the Turning Ch.
Round 2:-
1DC V-St CL In the 4th Ch from the hook.
Sk 2 Sts.
1DC V-St CL in the next St.
Sk 2.
Repeat(1DC V-St CL,Sk2)
1DC in the last St.
Once you reach end, Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch to make the turning Ch.
Straight Edge Turning Ch:-

YO, insert the hook into the St, YO and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet St. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet St and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet St again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
YO, insert the hook in the same St, YO and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
YO and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook.
Ch 1.
YO, insert the hook into the same St, YO and pull through 2 loops on the hook. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
YO, insert the hook in the same St, YO and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
YO and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook.
That's 1DC V-St CL made.
Round 3:-
1DC is already made with the Turning Ch.
1DC V-St CL in each of the Ch 1 Spaces(i.e. in between the V-St CL)
1DC in the last St.
Once you reach end, Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch to make the turning Ch.
