Crochet Moss Blanket with Easy Stitch Pattern


Often simple Crochet Stitches combined with other stitches create a lovely textured new stitch. Today am sharing the tutorial for Crochet Moss Blanket with Easy Stitch Pattern. This blanket pattern is a combination of Single Crochets , Double Crochet Cluster and Chain stitches.

The Double Crochet Cluster snitch is gorgeous stitch that creates a dense fabric. This Cluster Stitch is a versatile stitch which creates lovely stitches when combined with with other basic crochet stitches.

Crocheted Blankets are a favorite among many crocheters. Even beginner crocheters enjoy making Crocheted Blankets. They are a wonderful choice for gift giving be it any occasion and they are best for Crochet Charity Projects.

Worsted Weight Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
38 inches- Customizable to any size

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 96
You can adjust the size by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any multiple of 6

Round 2:-
1 Single Crochet in the 2nd Chain from the hook.
1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the turning chain.

Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
  • Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
  • Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
  • Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
  • Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
  • This will make one Double Crochet.

Round 3:-
1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain.
Skip 2 stitches.
In the next stitch make - (1 Double Crochet Cluster stitch, Chain 3,1 Single Crochet)- all in the same stitch.
Skip 2.
Repeat((1DC Cluster, Ch3, 1SC) Sk2).
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach the end ,Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain  to make the turning chain.

How to Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch.... ???:-
  1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
  3. Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
  4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.

Round 4:-
**This Round Onwards We Will Be Working Only Into The Chain 3 Spaces.
1 Double Crochet is already made while making the turning chain.
In the next Chain 3 Space make - (1 Double Crochet Cluster stitch, Chain 3,1 Single Crochet)- all in the same Chain 3 space.
Repeat((1DC Cluster, Ch3, 1SC) Sk2) into each of the Chain 3 spaces.
1 Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach the end , Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning chain  to make the turning chain.


Round 5 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4 untill the size needed and weave off.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

In the next St make - (1DC Cluster St, Ch3,1SC)- all in the same St.
Skip 2.
Repeat((1DC Cluster,Ch3,1SC) Sk2).
1DC in the last St.
Once you reach the end ,Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch  to make the turning Ch.

How to Make a Double Crochet Cluster St.... ???:-
Yarn over, insert the hook into the St, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet St. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet St and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet St again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
Yarn over, insert the hook in the same St, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
Continue with the first part of Double Crochet St untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.

Round 4:-
**This Round Onwards We Will Be Working Only Into The Ch 3 Spaces.
1DC is already made while making the turning Ch.
In the next Ch 3 Space make - (1DC Cluster St, Ch 3,1SC)- all in the same Ch 3 space.
