How To Make A Easy Textured Crochet Snowflake


Its the time to get into the Christmas Magic. Making your own handmade Christmas Decorations is one of the most satisfying and fun thing to do. Crochet Snowflake Patterns are super addictive to make. They are just so easy and quick to work. 

Crochet Snowflakes are great for using for Christmas Tree Decorations. You can make a bunch of Crocheted Snowflakes , join them up with a string and use them as Wall Hangings and Garlands. They are make very cute Gift Toppers. Its a great Stash Bursting Project. 

Today am sharing the tutorial for How To Make A Easy Textured Crochet Snowflake. Its a very easy pattern which takes up only a couple of minutes to whip up.





Materials Used:-
4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

4 inches

Ch - Chain
Sk - Skip
St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches
DC - Double Crochet
SC - Single Crochet
FPDC - Front Post Double Crochet
FPSC - Front Post Single Crochet

Lets Start ...!!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 2.(Not Counted as a Stitch)
12 Double Crochet into the magic circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
12 Stitches.

Round 2:-

Start with Chain 2(Not Counted as a Stitch)
1 Double Crochet.
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same stitch.(insert your hook into the Chain 2 as well to have a neat finish)

Repeat*(1DC,1FPDC in same stitch)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
24 Stitches(12 DCs,12FPDCs)

Round 3:-
Chain 5.
Skip 1 Stitch.
1 Front Post Single Crochet in the next stitch(i.e on the FPDC)
Repeat(Ch5,Sk1,1FPSC)

Round 4:-
Slip Stitch into the 1st Chain space.
**4 Single Crochets.
Chain 3 Picot (i.e. Chain 3 and make a Slip Stitch into the bottom stitch- **insert the hook into both the loops)
Chain 5 Picot.(i.e. Chain 5 and make a Slip Stitch into the bottom stitch)
Chain 3 Picot.(i.e. Chain 3 and make a Slip Stitch into the bottom stitch)
3 Single Crochets.
1 Slip Stitch into the next Chain Space.**
Repeat from ** to **.
Finally make a Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Single Crochet and Weave off.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Ch 2.(Not Counted as a St)
12 DC into the magic circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
SL on top of the 1st DC.
12 Sts.

Round 2:-
Start with Ch 2(Not Counted as a St)
1 DC.
1 FPDC in the same St.(insert your hook into the Ch 2 as well to have a neat finish)
Repeat*(1DC,1FPDC in same St)
SL on top of the 1st DC.
24 Sts(12 DCs,12FPDCs)

Round 3:-
Ch 5.
Sk 1 St.
1 FPSC in the next St(i.e on the FPDC)
Repeat(Ch5,Sk1,1FPSC)

Round 4:-
SL into the 1st Ch space.
**4 SCs.
Ch 3 Picot (i.e. Ch 3 and make a SL into the bottom St- **insert the hook into both the loops)
Ch 5 Picot.(i.e. Ch 5 and make a SL into the bottom St)
Ch 3 Picot.(i.e. Ch 3 and make a SL into the bottom St)
3 SCs.
1 SL into the next Ch Space.**

Finally make a SL on top of the 1st SC and Weave off.
