Folksy Crochet Snowflake Ornament With Macrame Cord



Crochet Christmas ornaments are always so fun to make. They instantly put you in the Festive Mood. Crochet Snowflake Ornaments are great for using for Christmas Tree Decorations. They are also great for Gift Giving.

Today am sharing the Pattern for Folksy Crochet Snowflake Ornament With Macrame Cord. I made this as a Part of the Christmas Ornaments Blog Hop with Tasha from Stardust Crochet . Macrame Threads are great fun to work with. They add a lovely bulk and texture to the finished project. The snowflake pattern is super easy to make which takes up only a couple of minutes to whip up.




Materials Used:-
3 Ply Cotton Macrame Thread
6 mm Crochet Hook
Small Strand of Satin Ribbon or Any Decorative String

Size:-
6 inches

Ch - Chain
St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches
Trbl - Treble Double Crochet
DC - Double Crochet
HDC - Half Double Crochet
SC - Single Crochet

Lets Start ...!!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 4.(The Starting Chain 3 will be counted as a Double Crochet and the Remaining Stitch will be Counted as Chain 1)
1 Double Crochet,
Chain 1
Repeat(1DC ,Ch1) untill you have total 6 Double Crochets and 6 Chain1 Spaces.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch into the 3rd Chain.


Round 2:-
**This Round we will be working only into the Chain 1 Spaces.
Chain 6.(The Starting Chain 3 will be counted as a Double Crochet and the remaining stitches will be counted as Chain 3 Space).
1 Double Crochet into the 1st Chain 1 space.
1 Double Crochet . Chain 3, 1 Double Crochet - into the next Chain 1 Space.
Repeat(1DC,Ch3,1DC) into each of the remaining Chain 1 spaces.
Slip Stitch into the 3rd Chain.

Round 3:-
In the 1st Chain 3 Space make- (1 Single  Crochet,1 Half Double Crochet,1 Double Crochet,1 Treble Crochet,Chain3 Picot,1 Double Crochet, 1 Half Double Crochet,1 Single Crochet)
Repeat(1SC,1HDC,1DC,1Trbl,Ch3 Picot,1DC,1HDC,1SC) - into each of the remaining Chain 3 Spaces.
Slip Stitch into the 1st Single Crochet and Weave off.

Hanging Loop:-
Use a Satin Ribbon or any Decorative String of your choice to make the Hanging Loop.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Ch4.(The Starting Ch3 will be counted as a DC and the Remaining St will be Counted as Ch1)
1DC,
Ch1
Repeat(1DC ,Ch1)) untill you have total 6DCs and 6 Ch1 Spaces.

SL into the 3rd Ch.

Round 2:-
**This Round we will be working only into the Ch1 Spaces.
Ch6.(The Starting Ch3 will be counted as a DC and the remaining Sts will be counted as Ch3 Space).
1DC into the 1st Ch1 space.
1DC . Ch3, 1DC - into the next Ch1 Space.
Repeat(1DC,Ch3,1DC) into each of the remaining Ch1 spaces.
SL into the 3rd Ch.

Round 3:-
In the 1st Ch3 Space make- (1SC,1Half DC,1DC,1Trbl Crochet,Ch3 Picot,1DC, 1 Half DC,1 SC)
Repeat(1SC,1HDC,1DC,1Trbl,Ch3 Picot,1DC,1HDC,1SC) - into each of the remaining Ch3 Spaces.
SL into the 1st SC and Weave off.

Hanging Loop:-
Use a Satin Ribbon or any Decorative String of your choice to make the Hanging Loop.
