Picot Crochet Flower



Crochet flowers are so pretty!!!!! Crochet flowers would make a great embellishment for your crochet projects. Use them to pretty up your Crochet Hat or you can always make plenty of these flowers, sew them up together and convert it into a pretty Flower Blanket or a Tablemat. The options are just immense.


This flower is very easy to make.This flower pattern works up in just minutes. What makes it special is the Picot Edging. The Picot stitch gives the flower a lovely pointed look. You can make this flower with any yarn of your choice.Here I have used Cotton Knitting Yarn.

I recently did a round up post of 14 Free Spring-Inspired Crochet Patterns for Underground Crafter. This Picot Crochet Flower will make a great addition to your Spring related Crochet Projects.

Materials Used:-
  • Cotton Knitting Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook





Here is the Video Tutorial:-



Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.



Chain 3.(Not Counted as stitch. This is just to bring the yarn to a working height)

12 Double Crochet in the Magic Circle.


Pull the yarn end to close the gap.



Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Double Crochet.



Round 2:-

Chain 3.

2 Double Crochet in the same stitch.



Chain 3.

Slip Stitch to the 1st Chain.
This Makes the Picot Stitch.



2 Double Crochet in the same stitch.


 Chain 3.



Slip Stitch in the same stitch.

This is One Petal made.



Skip 1 Stitch.
Slip stitch in the next stitch.



Repeat *(Chain 3,2DC,Chain3,Slip Stitch to 1st Stitch,2DC,Chain 3,Slip Stitch)( all in 1 stitch), Skip 1 Stitch, Slip Stitch)


Slip stitch to the first stitch to end the round.

Weave off yarn ends.


There you Go!!!!!! Your pretty Picot Flower is ready.


Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Slip stitch to the first stitch to end the round.
