Easy Crochet Snowflake Ornament Pattern



Snow is what makes you think the holidays are just around the corner. I love making crochet snowflakes. They look so pretty. They look so intricate but at the same time they are pretty much easy and quick to make. A crocheted snowflake ornament would be much fun to make for Christmas or the winter season.

Today am sharing the pattern for Easy Crochet Snowflake Ornament. These cute crochet snowflakes would be make perfect Christmas tree ornaments. You can also string them onto a garland or tie them on gifts or simply gift them to your loved one as they are. You can also easily make them in any color you like to fit your holiday decor color scheme.

Using threads make the most delicate Snowflake Patterns. You can also use any cotton yarn for making your Crocheted Snowflakes.

Materials Used:-
  • Cotton Thread No.5
  • 3mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
3.5 Inches

Here is the Video Tutorial:-




Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 4.(the starting Chain 3 will be counted as a Double Crochet and the remaining stitch will be counted as Chain 1 Space)
Chain 1.
Repeat(1 DC, Ch 1) untill you have 12 Chain spaces and 12 Double Crochets.
Slip Stitch into the Third chain.




Round 2:-
Chain 5.
1 Single Crochet on the next Double Crochet.
Repeat(Chain 5, 1 DC)


Round 3:-
(Chain 5(the Starting Chain 2 will be counted as a Double Crochet and the remining stitches will be counted as Chain 3), 
1 Double Crochet, Chain 3,1 Single Crochet in the bottom stitch.
1 Double Crochet, Chain 7, 1 Single Crochet in the bottom stitch.
1 Double Crochet, Chain 3,1 Single Crochet in the bottom stitch.
1 Double Crochet, Chain 3,1 Single Crochet in the bottom stitch.) - all theses stitches in the same chain space.
Chain 2
1 Single Crochet in the next chain space
Chain 2.
Repeat((1 DC, Ch 3,1 SC in the bottom stitch)*2, (1 DC, Ch 7,1 SC in the bottom stitch),(1 DC, Ch 3,1 SC in the bottom stitch)*2),Chain 2, 1 Single Crochet in the next Chain space, Chain 2.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet and weave off.









Hanging Loop:-
Use any Decorative String or Yarn to make the hanging loop and finish it off with a shining bead of your choice.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Ch 4.(the starting Ch 3 will be counted as a DC and the remaining stitch will be counted as Ch 1 Space)
Ch 1.
Repeat(1 DC, Ch 1) untill you have 12 Ch spaces and 12 DCs.
Slip Stitch into the Third chain.

Round 2:-
Ch 5.
1 SC on the next DC.
Repeat(Ch 5, 1 DC)

Round 3:-
(Ch 5(the Starting Ch 2 will be counted as a DC and the remining stitches will be counted as Ch 3), 
1 DC, Ch 3,1 SC in the bottom stitch.
1 DC, Ch 7, 1 SC in the bottom stitch.
1 DC, Ch 3,1 SC in the bottom stitch.
1 DC, Ch 3,1 SC in the bottom stitch.) - all theses stitches in the same Ch space.
Ch 2
1 SC in the next Ch space
Ch 2.
Repeat((1 DC, Ch 3,1 SC in the bottom stitch)*2, (1 DC, Ch 7,1 SC in the bottom stitch),(1 DC, Ch 3,1 SC in the bottom stitch)*2),Ch 2, 1 SC in the next Ch space, Ch 2.
SL on top of the first DC and weave off.
