Easy Textured Crochet Beanie Cap


Among all the Crochet Projects and Patterns, Crochet hats and beanies are the most easy to make. They are fun to make and they will keep you warm all winter long. Crocheted hats make for great gift ideas, be it any occasion. A handmade crochet item is special because you made it with all your love.

Beanie hats are the most versatile projects to make. You can change the crochet stitches or work with a combination of stitches and you can end up with a lovely textured look. Here's the pattern for a very basic and Easy Textured Crochet Beanie Cap. This easy beanie cap pattern is perfect for beginner crocheters too.

This textured pattern of this hat is made with combination of Double Crochet and Front Post Double Crochets. You can make this hat pattern with a solid color or a variegated yarn of your choice.




Materials Used:-
8 Ply Cotton Yarn 
5 mm Crochet Hook

Size:- 6 Inches Height , 8 Inches Brim - Can be customized to any size

Notes:-
For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Lets Start ...!!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 2(Not Counted as a stitch)
12 Double Crochets in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
12 Stitches.




Round 2:-

Chain 2.
2 Double Crochets in each stitch around.
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
24 stitches.



Round 3:-
Chain 2. 1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
36 Stitches.



Round 4:-
Chain 2. 
1 Double Crochet each in 2 stitches.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC*2, 2DC)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
48 Stitches.

If you wish to change the size of the Hat ,then follow the below mentioned increase pattern:-

Start each round with Chain 2(Not counted as a stitch) 
Round 5--DC 3, 2DC in next stitch(60)
Round 6--DC 4, 2DC in next stitch(72)
 .....and so on.

Round 5:-
Chain 2. 
1 Double Crochet.
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat*(1DC , 1FPDC)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.




Round 6 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 5 untill its around 6 inches in size. 




Brim:-
Chain 1
1 Half Double Crochet, 1 Slip Stitch in the same stitch.
Repeat(1 HDC, 1 SL) in each of the remaining stitches.
Slip stitch on top of the first Half Double Crochet and weave off.










Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Ch 2(Not Counted as a St)
12 DCs in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip St on top of the first DC.
12 Sts.

Round 2:-
Ch 2.
2 DCs in each St around.
Slip St on top of the first DC.
24 Sts.

Round 3:-
Ch 2. 1 DC in the same St.
2 DCs in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).
Slip St on top of the first DC.
36 Sts.

Round 4:-
Ch 2. 
1 DC each in 2 Sts.
2 DCs in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC*2, 2DC)
Slip St on top of the first DC.
48 Sts.

If you wish change the size of the Hat ,then follow the below mentioned increase pattern:-

Start each round with Ch 2(Not counted as a St) 
Round 5--DC 3, 2DC in next St(60)
Round 6--DC 4, 2DC in next St(72)
 .....and so on.

Round 5:-
Ch 2. 
1 DC.
1 FPDC in the next St.
Repeat*(1DC , 1FPDC)
Slip St on top of the first DC.

Round 6 Onwards:-

Brim:-
Ch 1
1 Half DC, 1 Slip St in the same St.
Repeat(1 HDC, 1 SL) in each of the remaining Sts.
Slip St on top of the first Half DC and weave off.
