Crochet Spider Stitch Tutorial One Row Repeat Pattern



The Crochet Spider Stitch is a beautifully textured stitch made with the basic crochet stitches. It's made with only Single Crochets and Chain spaces. The stitches are worked only into the Chain stitches. This creates the pretty lovely and dense stitch. Its a One Row Repeat Pattern and easy to whip up.

The Spider stitch is reversible. This is a super easy stitch which is a perfect stitch for making Crocheted Potholders, Washcloths , Tablemats , Blankets and Pillows.




Materials Used:-
8 Ply Yarn
5 mm Crochet Hook

Abbreviations Used:-
Ch - Chain
SC - Single Crochet
Sk - Skip
St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches

Let's Start:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 19 + 2 Chains extra for the Turning Chain.
You can adjust the size by altering these stitches according to your requirement.
Start with any  Odd Number of Chains + 2 Chains extra for the Turning Chain.

Round 2:-
1 Single Crochet in the 2nd Chain from the hook.
In the next stitch make (1 Single Crochet ,Chain 1,1 Single Crochet)-all in the same stitch.
Skip 1 stitch.
Repeat((1SC,Ch1,1SC), skip 1)
1 Single Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 1 and turn your project.

Round 3:-
**This Round Onwards, we will be working only in the Chain 1 Space from the previous round.
1 Single Crochet in the 1st stitch.
In the next Chain 1 Space make- (1 Single Crochet, Chain 1, 1 Single Crochet)
Repeat((1SC,Chain 1,1SC) - in each of the Chain 1 spaces.
1 Single Crochet in the last stitch.
Chain 1 and turn your project.


Round 4 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 3 untill the size needed.


Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 27 + 2 Chains extra for the Turning Chain.
This measures around 7 inches.
You can adjust the size of the Scarf by altering these Sts according to your requirement.
Start with any  Odd Number of Chains + 2 Chains extra for the Turning Chain.

Round 2:-
1SC in the 2nd Chain from the hook.
In the next St make (1SC ,Ch1,1SC)-all in the same St.
Sk1 St.
Repeat((1SC,Ch1,1SC), Sk1)
1SC in the last St.
Ch1 and turn your project.

Round 3:-
**This Round Onwards, we will be working only in the Ch1 Space from the previous round.
1SC in the 1st St.
In the next Ch1 Space make- (1SC, Ch1, 1SC)
Repeat((1SC,Ch1,1SC)-in each of the Ch1 spaces.
1SC in the last St.
Ch1 and turn your project.

Round 4 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 3 untill the size needed.
