Crochet Dishcloths are the best option for a quick, easy and fun project to whip up for your Kitchen. Dishcloth Patterns and very versatile and functional too. They work up quick and durable too. Crocheted Washcloths and Dishcloths are the best handy thing to have around.
Today am sharing the pattern for Super Easy Wiper Crochet Dishcloth Pattern. I made this as a Part of The 2025 Dishcloth of the Month CAL along with along with Rhondda from Oombawka Design Crochet and Amy from The Stitchin’ Mommy.
The washcloth is made with Half Double Crochet V Stitch. The V stitch is a pretty crochet stitch that works up quickly. Its a versatile stitch that can be used for many crochet projects.

8 Ply Cotton Yarn - Less than a skein
4 mm Crochet Hook
4 mm Crochet Hook

I am super happy to be joining the 2025 Dishcloth of the Month CAL along with Rhondda from Oombawka Design Crochet and Amy from The Stitchin’ Mommy. Round 2:-
In the 4th Chain from the hook make-(1 Half Double Crochet, Chain 1, 1 Half Double Crochet)- that's 1 Half Double Crochet V-Stitch made.
Skip 1 stitch.
1 Half Double Crochet V-Stitch(i.e.1 Half Double Crochet, Chain 1, 1 Half Double Crochet)
Skip 1.
Repeat(1HDC V-St ,Sk 1)
1 Half Double Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain to make the Turning Chain.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through all the 3 loops.
- This will make one Half Double Crochet.
Round 3:-
**This Round Onwards, we will be working only into the Chain 1 Space of the V-Stitch.
Repeat(1HDC V-St) -( i.e.1 Half Double Crochet, Chain 1, 1 Half Double Crochet) in each of the Chain 1 Space of the V-Stitch from the Previous round.
1 Half Double Crochet in the last Stitch.
Once you reach the end, Chain 2 and use the Straight edge Turning Chain to make the Turning Chain.
Round 4 Onwards:-
Keep Repeating Round 3 untill the size needed or untill its Square in shape and weave off.
Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-
Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Ch 40.
You can adjust the size by altering these Sts according to your requirement.
Start with any multiple of 2.
Round 2:-
In the 4th Ch from the hook make-(1HDC,Ch1,1HDC)- that's 1HDC V-St made.
Sk1 St.
1HDC V-St(i.e.1HDC,Ch1,1HDC)
Sk1.
Repeat(1HDC V-St,Sk1)
1HDC in the last St.
Once you reach end, Ch 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Ch to make the Turning Ch.
Straight Edge Turning Ch:-
Usually you would Ch 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .

YO and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
