Quick Crochet Flower Applique The Ultimate Scrap Yarn Buster

Today I am sharing one of my absolute favorite mini projects....the Quick Crochet Flower Applique. It’s fast, fun, and officially the ultimate scrap yarn buster! You can  easily whip up one of these cute little blooms in less than 10 minutes. Use them to embellish hats, bags, blankets, or clothes—or turn them into bookmarks, hair clips, and bunting. Made with the basic crochet stitches, this is a stress free project you can easily work on while watching your favorite show.

Materials Used:-

4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn 

4 mm Crochet Hook 

Size:-

2.5  inches - Customizable to any size

Ch - Chain

DC - Double Crochet

SC - Single Crochet

St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches

SL - Slip Stitch

Lets Start ...!!!

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

Chain 1(Not Counted as a stitch. It is just to bring the yarn to a working height)
6 Single Crochets in the circle.

Pull the yarn end to close the gap.

Slip Stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.

Round 2:-

Chain 1(Not Counted as a stitch. It is just to bring the yarn to a working height)
2 Single Crochets in  each stitch.

Slip Stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.

Change Yarn Color while making the Slip Stitch.

Round 3:-

**Chain 3, 

1 Double Crochet, 

Chain 3

Slip Stitch into the same stitch **  - be sure to make all the Stitches from ** to ** in the same stitch

1 Slip Stitch into the next stitch.

Repeat from ** to ** in the remaining stitches.

Make the last Slip Stitch and Weave off.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

1 DC, 

Ch 3

SL into the same St **  - be sure to make all the Sts from ** to ** in the same St

1 SL into the next St.

Repeat from ** to ** in the remaining Sts.

Make the last SL and Weave off.
