Today am sharing the pattern for Cloud and Charcoal Easy Crochet Market Tote Bag. The pattern is simple made with the basic crochet stitches. With just Single Crochets and Double Crochets worked together this classic tote bag pattern is incredibly easy to make. Choose a neutral monochrome look, or mix in bright, vibrant stripes to match your personal style.

DC - Double Crochet

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 40.
Round 2:-
3 Double Crochets into the 2nd Chain from the hook.
1 Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches untill the last stitch.
3 Double Crochet into the last stitch
Continue working on the opposite side. Take the yarn end along with the working yarn. This will give a neat finish.
1 Double Crochet into each stitch untill the last stitch.
Once you reach the end , make a Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Double Crochet.
Round 3:-
Chain 2.(This wont be counted as a stitch. It is just to bring it to a working height)
2 Double Crochets each in the turning 3 Double Crochets.
1 Double Crochet in each stitch untill the turning 3 Double Crochets.
2 Double Crochets each in the turning Double Crochets.
1 Double Crochet each in the remaining stitches.
Once you reach the end, make a Slip Stitch on top of the 1st Double Crochet.
Round 4:-
Chain 1(Not Counted as a stitch). Start the next stitch in the same stitch.
(1 Single Crochet, 1 Double Crochet)- all in the same stitch, i.e the 1st Stitch.
Skip the next stitch.
Repeat((1SC,1DC),Skip 1)
Once you reach the end , do not slip stitch . We will be working in continuous rounds.
Round 5 :-
**This Round Onwards, we will be working only into the Single Crochets from the previous Round.
In the 1st Stitch make-(1 Single Crochet, 1 Double Crochet)
Repeat(1SC,1DC) in each of the SCs.
Do not slip stitch once you reach the end. We will be working in continuous rounds.
Round 6 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 5 untill its around 12 to 13 inches in size or untill the size needed.
Handles:-
Measure around 2.5 inches from each side and mark the stitches with a stitch maker(you should have total 4 marked stitches)
1 Single Crochet into each stitch untill the 1st marked stitch.
Chain 100 to make the 1st handle.
Insert you hook into the next stitch to the 2nd marked stitch and continue with 1 Single Crochet into each stitch untill the 3rd marked stitch (i.e.the start of the 2nd handle)
Chain 100 to make the 2nd handle.
Insert you hook into the next stitch to the 4th marked stitch and continue with 1 Single Crochet into each of the remaining stitches.
Do not make a Slip Stitch at the end.
We will be working in continuous rounds for the handles too.

Finishing:-
1 Single Crochet in each stitch around and 1 Single Crochet into each Chain stitch on the handles .
Continue with 1 more Round of 1 Single Crochet into each stitch and weave off.

If you wish to make a thicker handle , then you can make one more round of 1 
Single Crochet in each stitch around and Weave off.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-

Once you reach the end, make a SL on top of the 1st DC.

Round 4:-
Ch 1(Not Counted as a St). Start the next St in the same St.
(1 SC, 1 DC)- all in the same St, i.e the 1st St.
Sk the next St.
Repeat((1SC,1DC),Sk 1)
Once you reach the end , do not SL . We will be working in continuous rounds.

Round 5 :-
**This Round Onwards, we will be working only into the SCs from the previous Round.
In the 1st St make-(1 SC, 1 DC)
Repeat(1SC,1DC) in each of the SCs.
Do not SL once you reach the end. We will be working in continuous rounds.

Round 6 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 5 untill its around 12 to 13 inches in size or untill the size needed.

Handles:-

1 SC in each St around and 1 SC into each Ch St on the handles .
Continue with 1 more Round of 1 SC into each St and weave off.

If you wish to make a thicker handle , then you can make one more round of 1 
SC in each St around and Weave off.
