Round 2:-
1 Double Crochet in the 2nd Chain from the hook.
1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.
1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.
Chain 2.
Skip 2 Stitches.
1 Double Crochet each into the next 3 Stitches
Chain 2
Skip 2 Stitches.
Repeat(1DC*3, Ch2 ,Sk2)
At the end you should have 3 stitches left- make 1 Double Crochet each in the last 2 stitches
Once you reach end, Chain 1 and Turn your work.
Round 3:-
1 Single Crochet in the first stitch.
1 Shell Stitch (i.e.5 Double Crochets) into the Chain 2 Space.
1 Single Crochet into the Middle Stitch(i.e.the 2nd Stitch)of the Double Crochet Bunch.
Repeat((5DC(into the Ch Space), 1SC(into the middle St of the DC bunch))
1 Single Crochet in the last stitch.
Once you reach end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain method to make the Turning Chain.
Straight Edge Turning Chain:-
Usually you would Chain 2, turn and start working the next round. Here is a quick tip to have a nice straight edge .
- Insert the hook into the 1st chain from the bottom.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You should have 2 loops on the hook.
- Turn your project and insert the hook into the first stitch.
- Yarn over and pull up a loop. You will have 3 loops on the hook.
- Again, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You will have 2 loops on the hook.
- Lastly, yarn over and pull through 2 loops.
- This will make one Double Crochet.
Round 4:-
1 Double Crochet is already made with the Turning Chain.
Chain 1.
1 Double Crochet each into the 3 Middle Stitches of the Shell stitch(i.e, the 2nd,3rd and the 4th Stitch)
Chain 2
Repeat(1DC into the 3 Middle Stitches of the Shell(i.e.2nd,3rd& 4th St),Chain 2)
Once you reach the last Shell Stitch , Chain 1 and make 1 Double Crochet in the last Stitch.
To end, Chain 2 and use the Straight Edge Turning Chain method mentioned in the previous round to make the Turning Chain.
Round 5:-
1 Double Crochet is already made with the Turning Chain.
2 Double Crochets into the Chain 1 Space.
1 Single Crochet into the Middle Stitch of the 3 Double Crochet bunch.
1 Shell Stitch (i.e.5 Double Crochets) into the Chain 2 Space.
Repeat(1Shell St- into the Ch2 Space,1 SC into the Middle St of the 3DC bunch).
