Flower Motif Edged Crochet Table Mat

I recently did a stash busting project Loopy Spring Coaster. Today I'm sharing one more stash busting project - Flower Motif Edged Crochet Table Mat.This table mat pattern is very easy and quick to make that even a beginner would have no trouble making.

This crocheted table mat would be a great way to add some happy colors to your table. Rummage around your scrap yarns and use up all those bright colored yarn to make this pretty piece of decor.

Crochet flowers are a great way to beautify any of your projects.I have used Picot Flowers for the edging.

You can use any crochet flower pattern for the edging. Here are some of my Crochet Flower Patterns.
  1. Button Flower
  2. Five Petal Flower
  3. Multi Petal Flower
  4. Simple Crochet Flower

Materials Used:-
  • Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook
  • Tapestry Needle

I have used three strands of yarn. Check out my pattern for Loopy Spring Coaster - Created out of Bulky Yarn Made from One Ball of Light Weight Yarn. I have shown how to use three strands of yarn from a single skein of yarn.
This Table Mat measures around 16 inches.
Pattern Notes:-
Start each round with Chain 2. This won't be counted as a stitch. This is just to bring the yarn to a working height.Make the Double Crochet in this same stitch.

Pull the yarn end to close the gap.

Total I made 14 Picot Flowers.I alternated the colors between the petals and the Centre.
Using a Tapestry Needle, Sew the Flowers to the edge of the table mat. Place the flowers as the image below. This way you will be able to sew them easily. Sew only on the picot points of the flower.
Once you are done, weave off the yarn ends.

Don't the flowers look pretty together!!!!!!!!
