Quick and Simple Crochet Butterfly Applique


I love working on Crochet Projects which are quick to make. Crochet Appliques definitely are the first choice to make a fast crochet project. I love how versatile the crochet appliques are. You can literally just crochet about any thing imaginable.

Crochet Butterflies are very popular choice among most of the crocheters. Butterflies are pretty and colorful and hence a inspiration for many crochet projects. They are great as embellishments for Crochet Hats, Bags ,Hairpins , Clothing Accessories or you can stick them on a small magnet and use them as Fridge Magnets. The possibilities are endless. There are many ways to crochet a butterfly.

Today am sharing the pattern for Quick and Simple Crochet Butterfly Applique. This pattern is made in just one round with all the stitches worked in a Magic Circle. You can make this with any yarn of your choice. Just be sure to change the Crochet Hook size according to the yarn you are using.




Materials Used:-
4 Ply Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
2 inches

Let's Start ....!!!!

Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 3,
1 Treble Crochet,
Chain 3 Picot,
2 Treble Crochets,
1 Double Crochet,
Chain 2,
Slip Stitch into the Magic Circle.(Do Not Close the Magic Circle)
Chain 2,
1 Double Crochet,
1 Treble Crochet,
Chain 3,
Slip Stitch into the Magic Circle.(Do Not Close the Magic Circle)
Chain 3,
1 Treble Crochet,
1 Double Crochet,
Chain 2,
Slip Stitch into the Magic Circle.(Do Not Close the Magic Circle)
Chain 2,
1 Double Crochet,
2 Treble Crochets,
Chain 3 Picot,
1 Treble Crochet,
Chain 3,
Slip Stitch into the Magic Circle.
Finally, pull the yarn end to close the Magic Circle and Weave off.

How to make a Treble Crochet??...here it is.....!!
  1. Yarn over hook twice, insert hook in the Stitch and Pull up a loop.(4 loops on hook). 
  2. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (3 loops remain on hook). 
  3. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops remain on hook).
  4. Yarn over, pull 2 loops on hook (1 treble crochet complete).
How to Make Chain 3 Picot??...here it is.....!!
Chain 3.
Slip stitch into the First Chain Stitch.




















To Finish off:-
Tie a knot on each of the yarn ends and cut off the excess yarn.
