Picot Crochet Flower Lace Pattern

Crocheting flowers has always been on my favorite list. Crochet Flowers are a beautiful creative way to add elegance and style to so many of your crochet projects. Make them into a lace motif and they will definitely add that delicate and charming aura. Use them to embellish your crochet projects or decorate your home or you can join and make them into Placemats, tablemats or Doilies.

Today am sharing the pattern for this quick and easy to make Picot Crochet Flower Lace Pattern. The flower petals are made with Double Crochet Cluster stitches and the flowers are joined with Chain stitches. These are worked one after the other without cutting and joining the yarn. This makes it even more quick and simple to crochet.

Materials Used:-

4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn

4mm Crochet Hook

Round 1:-

Start with a slip knot.

Chain 3.

1 Double Crochet in the 3rd Chain from the hook(i.e. the First stitch).

This will form a ring.

(Chain 2,1 Double Crochet Cluster, Chain 3 Picot, Chain 2,1 Single Crochet into the ring).

This is 1 Petal Made.

Repeat*(Ch 2, Dc Cluster, Ch3 Picot,Ch 2, 1SC into the ring) untill you have 5 to 6 petals.

In the main pic, I have made 6 petals.

To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-

1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
3. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 3 loops on the hook.
4. Chain 1.

To Make a Chain 3 Picot Stitch:-

Chain 3, Slip Stitch into the bottom stitch(insert hook into all the 3 loops of the Cluster Stitch)

Round 2:-

Chain 6.

1 Double Crochet in the 3rd Chain from the hook.

This will form a ring.

Repeat Round 1 to make the petals.

Weave off once you reach the size you need.
