Ruffled Mini Flower Doily


Crochet projects inspired with Flowers are so enchanting to look at and they never fail to impress anyone. There are unlimited range of stiches and color combinations you can work out to make these Flower themed Crochet Doilies. Use vibrant color combinations to make this doily and they are sure to bring instant colorful vibes to you home decor. Use them as Tablemats... Placemats or you can use them as Coasters too.

Today am sharing the pattern for Ruffled Mini Crochet Flower Doily. These are fairly quick and easy to make. The stitches used are basic crochet stitches. This will also be a great project to try out for even complete beginners.




Materials Used:-

  • 4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook
Size:-
8 Inches

Here is the Video Tutorial:-



Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 2(Not Counted as a stitch)
12 Double Crochets in the Circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the loop.
Slip stitch on top of the First Double Crochet.
Change color while making the slip stitch.

Round 2:-
Chain 2.(Not Counted as a stitch)
1 Double Crochet Cluster in the same stitch.
Chain 1.
Repeat(1DC Cluster, Ch 1)
Slip stitch on top of the First Double Crochet Cluster.
Change color while making the slip stitch.

To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-
  1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
  3. Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
  4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.
  5. Chain 1.



Round 3:-
Chain 5.
1 Single Crochet on top of the next Cluster stitch.
Repeat(Chain 5, 1SC)
Once you reach the end, Chain 3 and 1 Double Crochet into the first Chain Space.
This is the connecting stitch.

Round 4:-
Chain 5,
1 Single Crochet in the next chain space.
Repeat(Ch 5, 1SC)
To finish off Round , Chain 5 and slip stitch into the first Double Crochet.
Change color while making the slip stitch.

Round 5:-
Slip stitch into the Chain Space and Chain 2(Not Counted as a stitch)
6 Double Crochets in the same space.
Repeat 6DC in each of the Chain spaces.
Slip stitch on top the first Double Crochet.
Change color while making the slip stitch.


Round 6:-
Chain 5.
Skip 2.
1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(Ch5, Skip 2, 1 SC)
Once you reach the end, Chain 3 and 1 Double Crochet into the first Chain Space.
This is the connecting stitch.

Round 7:-
Chain 5,
1 Single Crochet in the next chain space.
Repeat(Ch 5, 1SC)
To finish off Round , Chain 5 and slip stitch into the first Double Crochet.
Change color while making the slip stitch.
Border
Slip into the chain space and Chain 1(Not counted as a stitch)
1 Single Crochet
5 Double Crochets
Chain 2
5 Double Crochets
1 Single Crochet.
All these stitches in the same chain space.
Repeat(1SC,5DC,Ch2,5DC,1SC) in each of the remaining chain spaces.
Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet and weave off.
Working in each and every space will get you the ruffled effect.




Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
CH 2(Not Counted as a stitch)
12 DCs in the Circle.

Change color while making the SL.

Round 2:-
CH 2.(Not Counted as a stitch)
1 DC Cluster in the same stitch.

Change color while making the SL.

Round 3:-
CH 5.
1 SC on top of the next Cluster stitch.
Repeat(CH 5, 1SC)
Once you reach the end, CH 3 and 1 DC into the first CH Space.
This is the connecting stitch.

Round 4:-
CH 5,
1 SC in the next CH space.
Repeat(Ch 5, 1SC)
To finish off Round , CH 5 and SL into the first DC.
Change color while making the SL.

Round 5:-
SL into the CH Space and CH 2(Not Counted as a stitch)
6 DCs in the same space.
Repeat 6DC in each of the CH spaces.
SL on top the first DC.
Change color while making the SL.

Round 6:-
CH 5.
Skip 2.
1 SC in the next stitch.
Repeat(Ch5, Skip 2, 1 SC)
Once you reach the end, CH 3 and 1 DC into the first CH Space.
This is the connecting stitch.

Round 7:-
CH 5,
1 SC in the next CH space.
Repeat(Ch 5, 1SC)
To finish off Round , CH 5 and SL into the first DC.
Change color while making the SL.

Border
Slip into the CH space and CH 1(Not counted as a stitch)
1 SC
5 DCs
CH 2
5 DCs
1 SC.
All these stitches in the same CH space.
Repeat(1SC,5DC,Ch2,5DC,1SC) in each of the remaining CH spaces.
SL on top of the first SC and weave off.
Working in each and every space will get you the ruffled effect.
