How To Crochet Mini Round Doily


Crochet doilies are one of the most classic crochet projects you make to add that vintage look to your home decor. Crochet doilies bring a homemade touch and warmth to any corner of the room they are in. They can be made in any size and shape of your choice. They can be used as decoration on tables or you can get them framed as beautiful wall art. They are a great choice for making pretty lacy dream catchers.

Today am sharing the pattern for this quick and easy Mini Crochet Doily. Its a quick and easy pattern and you can make a couple of them in no time at all. This cute doily can be used as a coaster for your drinks. They would also make wonderful gifts for your loved ones.




Materials Used:-
4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn 
4 mm Crochet Hook

Size:-
7 inches

Notes:-
For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Let's Start...!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
12 Double Crochets in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.



Round 2:-
Chain 4 (the starting chain 2 will be considered as 1 Double Crochet and the remaining stitches will be counted as Chain 2.)
1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.
Chain 2
Repeat(1DC, Chain 2)
Slip Stitch into the Second Chain.


Round 3:-
Slip stitch into the chain space and Chain 2.
1 Double Crochet Cluster in the chain space.
Chain 3.
Repeat(1DC Cluster, Chain 3)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet Cluster.

To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-
  1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
  2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
  3. Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
  4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.
  5. Chain 1.




Round 4:-
Slip stitch into the chain space.
Chain 5.
1 Single Crochet into the next chain space.
Repeat (Chain 5, 1 Single Crochet)
Slip Stitch into the first stitch.



Round 5:-
Slip stitch into the chain space and Chain 2.
7 Double Crochets in the chain space.
Repeat (7 DC ) in each chain space.
Slip stitch on top of the fist Double Crochet.



Round 6:-
Chain 5.
Skip 2
1 Single Crochet in the next stitch
Repeat(Chain 5,Skip 2, 1SC)
Once you reach the end, Chain 3 and 1 Double Crochet into the first Chain Space.
This is the connecting stitch.



Round 7:-
Chain 5.
1 Single Crochet in the next chain space.
Repeat(Chain 5, 1SC)
Once you reach the end, Chain 5 and slip stitch on top of the Double Crochet  and weave off the yarn ends.


Here is the Summary of the Pattern:- 

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
12 DCs in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
SL on top of the first DC.

Round 2:-
Ch 4 (the starting Ch 2 will be considered as 1 DC and the remaining Sts will be counted as Ch 2.)
1 DC in the next St.
Ch 2
Repeat(1DC, Ch 2)
SL into the Second Ch.

Round 3:-
SL into the Ch space and Ch 2.
1 DC Cluster in the Ch space.
Ch 3.
Repeat(1DC Cluster, Ch 3)
SL on top of the first DC Cluster.

Round 4:-
SL into the Ch space.
Ch 5.
1 SC into the next Ch space.
Repeat (Ch 5, 1 SC)
SL into the first St.

Round 5:-
SL into the Ch space and Ch 2.
7 DCs in the Ch space.
Repeat (7 DC ) in each Ch space.
SL on top of the fist DC.

Round 6:-
Ch 5.
Skip 2
1 SC in the next St
Repeat(Ch 5,Skip 2, 1SC)
Once you reach the end, Ch 3 and 1 DC into the first Ch Space.
This is the connecting St.

Round 7:-
Ch 5.
1 SC in the next Ch space.
Repeat(Ch 5, 1SC)
Once you reach the end, Ch 5 and SL on top of the DC  and weave off the yarn ends.
