Quick and Easy Crochet Easter Bunny Applique

Crochet Bunnies are always a lovely way to add cuteness element to your projects or home decor. This lovable and cute little crochet bunny applique is extremely cute and will be perfect for your Easter and Spring time decorations. It also has a super cute tiny crochet flower which makes up its tail. It will be perfect not only for Easter , but you can use them for Crochet Blankets , Dishcloths , Crochet Hats . You can also use them for your other DIY Crafts , cards and scrapbooks.

Today am sharing the pattern for this Quick and Easy Crochet Easter Bunny Applique. The pattern works up really quick and you can easily make a couple of them in no time at all. These Bunny Appliques are great for using up your scarp yarn. Along with decoration , they will also make lovely gifts for your loved ones because handmade gifts do really show that they were made with love.

Materials Used:-

4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn 

4 mm Crochet Hook

Notes:-
For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Lets Start....!!!

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.
12 Double Crochets in the circle.

Pull the yarn end to close the gap.

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

12 Stitches.

Round 2:-

Start with Chain 2.
1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same stitch.

Repeat(1DC,1FPDC in same stitch)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
24 Stitches

Round 3:-

Chain 2.

2 Double Crochets in the same stitch.

*Chain 6.

1 Single Crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook.

1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches.

Make a slip stitch on the bottom stitch(i.e. on top of the 2nd Double Crochet. Insert your hook into both the loops to make it more neat)

1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.* - that's the First Bunny Ear made.

1 Double Crochet in the next stitch.

Repeat from * to * for the making the second ear.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Chain 2 and Make a slip stitch in the same stitch.

Round 4:-

1 Half Double Crochet , 1 Slip stitch in the same stitch.

Repeat((1HDC, 1SL)- both in same stitch).

Slip stitch at the end and weave off.

Bunny Tail:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

Chain 2.

1 Double Crochet Cluster

Chain 2

1 Single Crochet.

Repeat(Ch 2, 1 DC Cluster, Ch2 , 1 SC) untill you have 5 petals.

Pull the yarn end to close the Magic Circle and weave off.

To Make a Double Crochet Cluster Stitch:-

1. Yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook.(This is same as doing a Double Crochet Stitch. It is just that , you don't finish the Double Crochet Stitch and continue doing the first part of the Double Crochet Stitch again and again).You should have 2 loops on the hook.
2. Yarn over, insert the hook in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 2 loops. You should have 3 loops on the hook.
3. Continue with the first part of Double Crochet stitch untill you have 4 loops on the hook.
4. Yarn over and draw the yarn through all 4 loops on the hook.
5. Chain 1.

Using a Yarn Needle , sew the Bunny tail on the Applique.

Weave off Yarn ends.

Here is the Summary of the Pattern:- 

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

12 DCs in the circle.

Pull the yarn end to close the gap.

Slip St on top of the first DC.

12 Sts.

Round 2:-

Start with Ch 2.

1 DC in the same St.

1 Front Post DC in the same St.

Repeat*(1DC,1FPDC in same St)

Slip St on top of the first DC.

24 Sts

Round 3:-

Ch 2.

2 DCs in the same St.

*Ch 6.

1 Single Crochet in the 2nd Ch from the hook.

1 Single Crochet each in the remaining Sts.

Make a slip St on the bottom St(i.e. on top of the 2nd DC. Insert your hook into both the loops to make it more neat)

1 DC in the same St.* - that's the First Bunny Ear made.
