Seamless Solid Crochet Circle To Granny Square Pattern


Crochet Granny Squares are the most versatile projects to make. There are just so many varieties and possibilities to use the Granny Squares. The most poplar choice of many crocheters is to make a Crocheted Blanket. You can make up a bunch of Granny Squares and in the end join them up to make a Pretty Crochet Blanket. They are also great for making Crochet Pillows, Placemats , Tablemats and Clothing Accessories.

There are many ways to Crochet a Granny Square. Today am sharing the pattern for making a Seamless Solid Crochet Circle To Granny Square. The pattern is quite simple made with the basic crochet stitches. This pattern is fun to make and works up quickly too.

These Granny Squares can be made in any size of your choice. Just keep adding the repeat Stitches to the square and you can make them as large as you want.

8 Ply Yarn
4 mm Crochet Hook

Notes:-
For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. 
Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Lets Start ...!!!!

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Chain 2.
12 Double Crochets in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
12 Stitches.




Round 2:-

Chain 2.
2 Double Crochets in each stitch around.
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
24 stitches.


Round 3:-
Chain 2. 1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.
Repeat(1DC, 2DC).
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
Change the yarn color while making the slip stitch.
36 Stitches.





Round 4:-
Chain 2.
(2 Double Crochets , Chain 1, 2 Double Crochets in the next stitch) - that's the 1st Corner made.
1 Half Double Crochet each in the next 2 Stitches.
1 Single Crochet each in the next 3 Stitches.
1 Half Double Crochet each in the next 2 Stitches.
Repeat((2DC,Ch1,2DC in the next St),1HDC*2,1SC*3,1HDC*2)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
44 Stitches, 4 Chain 1 spaces.










Round 5:-
Chain 2.
1 Double Crochet in each stitch untill you reach the Corner.
In the Chain 1 Space make - (2 Double Crochets, Chain 2, 2 Double Crochets)- that's the corner made.
Repeat(1DC in each stitch untill corner),(2DC,Ch2,2dc)-in corner stitches)
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet and weave off.

***If you wish to make a large size square, then keep repeating Round 5 untill the size needed.











Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
Ch2.
12DCs in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
SL on top of the first DC.
12 Sts.

Round 2:-
Ch2.
2DCs in each stitch around.
SL on top of the first DC.
24 Sts.

Round 3:-
Ch2. 1DC in the same stitch.
2DCs in the next stitch.
Repeat(1DC,2DC).
SL on top of the first DC.
Change the yarn color while making the SL.
36 Sts.

Round 4:-
Ch2.
(2DCs , Ch 1, 2DCs in the next stitch) - that's the 1st Corner made.
1HDC each in the next 2 Sts.
1SC each in the next 3 Sts.
1HDC each in the next 2 Sts.
Repeat((2DC,Ch1,2DC in the next St),1HDC*2,1SC*3,1HDC*2)
SL on top of the first DC.
44 Sts, 4 Ch 1 spaces.

Round 5:-
Ch2.
1DC in each stitch untill you reach the Corner.
In the Ch 1 Space make - (2DCs, Ch2, 2DCs)- that's the corner made.
Repeat(1DC in each stitch untill corner),(2DC,Ch2,2dc)-in corner Sts)
SL on top of the first DC and weave off.
