Fall Decor Autumn Crochet Placemat

Fall is such a colorful season and those beautiful fall colors are a great inspiration for many Fall and Autumn Crochet Projects. I love making cozy fall inspired crochet projects. The ideas are unlimited....pumpkins , Wreaths , Cup Cozies, Scarfs, Crochet Blankets and Pillows and of course one of my favorites , Decorative Crochet Doilies and Placemats.

Today am sharing the pattern for Fall Decor Autumn Crochet Placemat. Enhance your fall decor table with this beautiful and easy to make crochet placemat. They would definitely add a great vibe to any corner of your home. The most awesome thing about crochet is that you can just change the colors in a pattern and make them suitable to any season.




Materials Used:-
  • 4 Ply Cotton Knitting Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook
Size:-
12 Inches - Can be customized to any size

Notes:-
For this whole Pattern, the Starting Chain 2 is not counted as a stitch. It is Just to bring the yarn to a working height. Start the next stitch in the same stitch.

Here is the Video Tutorial:-



Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
12 Double Crochets in the circle.
Pull the yarn end to close the gap.
Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
Change color while making the slip stitch.
12 Stitches.



Round 2:-
Chain 2.
1 Popcorn Stitch in each stitch around.
Slip stitch on top of the first Popcorn stitch.
Change color while making the slip stitch.
12 Popcorn Stitches.

To make a Pop Corn stitch:-
  1. Make 5 double crochet stitches in the same stitch.
  2. Drop the loop from your hook.
  3. Insert your hook in the first double crochet you made.
  4. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.
  5. Chain 1.
That's One Pop Corn stitch made.




Round 3:-
Chain 2
1 Double Crochet on the  popcorn stitch.
2 Double Crochets in the next stitch i.e. in between the two popcorn stitches.
Repeat(1DC,2DC)
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
36 Stitches.



Round 4:-
Chain 2
1 Double Crochet each in 2 Stitches.
1 Double Crochet, 1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same stich
Repeat 1DC*2,(1DC,1FPDC)
48 Stitches.


Round 5:-
Chain 2
1 Double Crochet each in 3 Stitches.
1 Double Crochet, 1 Front Post Double Crochet in the same stich
Repeat 1DC*3,(1DC,1FPDC)
60 Stitches.


Round 6 to 9:-
Keep repeating the increase pattern untill you reach the size needed.

The increase pattern will be as below:-
Round 6 - 1DC*4,(1DC,1FPDC) - 72 Stitches.
Round 7 - 1DC*5,(1DC,1FPDC) - 84 Stitches.
Round 8 - 1DC*6,(1DC,1FPDC) - 96 Stitches.
Round 9 - 1DC*7,(1DC,1FPDC) - 108 Stitches......and so on.....!!!

The stitch count with each round should increase by multiples of 12.



Round 10:-
Chain 5.
Skip 2.
1 Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(Ch5, Skip 2, 1 SC)
          

Round 11:-
Slip stitch into the Chain space. Change color while making the slip stitch.
7 Double Crochets in the same chain space.
Slip Stitch into the next chain space.
Repeat(7DC,SL into the next space)
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet. 
Change color while making the slip stitch.


Round 12:-
Chain 7(the starting 2 stitches will be counted as 1 Double Crochet and the remaining stitches will be counted as Chain 3 space.)
1 Double Crochet in the same space.
Chain 3
Repeat(1DC,Ch 3,1DC) Ch3
Slip Stitch into the 2nd chain.



Round 13:-
Slip stitch into the chain space. Change color while making the slip stitch.
Chain 2
7 Double Crochets in the same chain space.
1 Single Crochet in the middle stitch i.e the 4th stitch from Round 11.
Repeat(7DC,1SC(in the 4th stitch from Round 11))
Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.
Change color while making the slip stitch.


Border:-
Chain 1(not counted as a stitch. Start the next stitch in the same stitch)
1 Single Crochet each in 4 Stitches.
Chain 3,1 Single Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Single Crochet each in the next 3 stitches.
1 Front Post Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat((1SC*4,Ch3,1SC(in same stitch),1SC*3),1FPSC)
Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet and weave off.




Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Magic Circle.
12 DCs in the circle.

Round 2:-
Ch2.
1 Popcorn Stitch in each stitch around.
SL on top of the first Popcorn stitch.

1 DC on the  popcorn stitch.
2 DCs in the next stitch i.e. in between the two popcorn stitches.
Repeat(1DC,2DC)
SL on top of the first DC.
36 Stitches.

Round 4:-
Ch2
1 DC each in 2 Stitches.
1 DC, 1 FP DC in the same stich
Repeat 1DC*2,(1DC,1FPDC)
48 Stitches.

Round 5:-
Ch2
1 DC each in 3 Stitches.
1 DC, 1 FP DC in the same stich
Repeat 1DC*3,(1DC,1FPDC)
60 Stitches.

Round 6 to 9:-
Keep repeating the increase pattern untill you reach the size needed.

Round 10:-
Ch5.
Skip 2.
1 SC in the next stitch.
Repeat(Ch5, Skip 2, 1 SC)

Round 11:-
SL into the Ch space. Change color while making the SL.
7 DCs in the same Ch space.
SL into the next Ch space.
Repeat(7DC,SL into the next space)
SL on top of the first DC. 
Change color while making the SL.

Round 12:-
Ch7(the starting 2 stitches will be counted as 1 DC and the remaining stitches will be counted as Ch3 space.)
1 DC in the same space.
Ch3
Repeat(1DC,Ch 3,1DC) Ch3
SL into the 2nd chain.

Round 13:-
SL into the Ch space. Change color while making the SL.
Ch2
7 DCs in the same Ch space.
1 SC in the middle stitch i.e the 4th stitch from Round 11.
Repeat(7DC,1SC(in the 4th stitch from Round 11))
SL on top of the first DC.
Change color while making the SL.

Border:-
Ch1(not counted as a stitch. Start the next stitch in the same stitch)
1 SC each in 4 Stitches.
Ch3,1 SC in the same stitch.
1 SC each in the next 3 stitches.
1 FP SC in the next stitch.
Repeat((1SC*4,Ch3,1SC(in same stitch),1SC*3),1FPSC)
SL on top of the first SC and weave off.

I just want to say thank you for shareing your pattern I think it is lovely and I am going to try and make it I don't read patterns very good but I am sure I can make this one it is so easy to follow and I am going to try and make it in differn colors.
