How To Make a Easy Crochet Hook Pouch


Are you a Crocheter??? Then am sure you must be loving to collect various array of Crochet Hooks. Keeping those Crochet Hooks organized and Handy in one place is a wonderful thing. It becomes so easy to find the right hook you want for your project.

Today am sharing the pattern for a Easy Crochet Hook Pouch. This pouch pattern is very simple and you can make one in no time at all. This pattern is made with Single Crochets and Long Single Crochets which gives it the spike texture look. The size is also customizable to your liking. So, if you are not planning to put in your Crochet hooks, you can adjust the size and make them to store your Pencils or Reading Glasses or any other art and craft accessories.




Materials Used:-
  • 8 Ply Yarn
  • 4mm Crochet Hook
  • Wooden Button
Size:- Can be Customized to any size
8 Inches in Height
2.5 Inches in Width

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.
Chain 10.
1 Single Crochet in the Second Chain from the hook.
1 Single Crochet in each stitch untill the last stitch.
3 Single Crochets in the last stitch.
Turn your work and start working on the opposite side.
1 Single Crochet in each stitch untill the last stitch.
3 Single Crochets in the last stitch.
Slip stitch on top of the first Single Crochet.




Round 2:-
Chain 1.(Not Counted as a stitch. It is just to bring the yarn to a working height).
1 Single Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Single Crochet in each of the remaining stitches.
Once you reach the end, do not slip stitch. We will be working in continuous round.

Round  3:-
Repeat Round 2.

Round 4:-
1 Single Crochet.
1 Long Single Crochet in the next stitch.
Repeat(1SC, 1 Long SC)

How to Make a Long Single Crochet...?
  • Single Crochet Spike stitch is same as a Single Crochet, but instead of inserting the hook in the next stitch, Insert your hook into the stitch which is one row below the current row stitch.
  • Yarn Over, pull up a loop that is the same height as your current row stitch. 
  • Pull through both loops.
  • This is One Long Single Crochet stitch complete.

Round 5 Onwards:-
Keep repeating Round 4  untill you reach the size needed.




Pouch Flap:-
Chain 1(not counted as a stitch).
1 Single Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches untill the opposite stitch end.
Chain 1 and turn.
Make 2 more rounds of Single Crochet stitches.

Button Loop:-
1 Single Crochet in each stitch untill the middle of the pouch.
Chain 10.
You can adjust the loop according to the size of the button you are using.
1 Single Crochet in the same stitch.
1 Single Crochet each in the remaining stitches and weave off.
Using a Yarn needle , sew the button on the opposite side of the button loop.


Here is the Summary of the Pattern:-

Round 1:-
Start with a Slip Knot.

1 SC in the same stitch.
1 SC in each of the remaining stitches.
Once you reach the end, do not SL. We will be working in continuous round.

Round  3:-
Repeat Round 2.

Round 4:-
1 SC.
1 Long SC in the next stitch.
Repeat(1SC, 1 Long SC)

Round 5 Onwards:-

Pouch Flap:-

1 SC in the same stitch.
